Its a neat unit
Its a neat unit, seems robust and is easy to use. The instructions in the manual are thorough and easy to follow just like on the screen. Appears to be accurate.
Re-Calibration
Excellent communication by both telephone and e-mail from Karl at Alcosense. Unit returned and re-calibrated at no cost. This is what Customer Service looks like.
Will recommend to my friends. 5 ***** Service.
The AlcoSense Elite 2 is easy to use…
The AlcoSense Elite 2 is easy to use and gives fast, clear results. It feels solid and reliable, and it gives me peace of mind before driving. Definitely a good personal breathalyzer.
It's easy and reliable
It's easy and reliable. Minor problems after certain spicy food
AlcoSense Excel
AlcoSense Excel - Very easy to set up and use. Even blowing in this is a lot easier then other products i've tried.
Only small thing:
The case should be ½ cm thicker so you could pack all the tubes, cable and device.
Excellent Product - Alcosense excel
Recently purchased the Alcosense excel from Halfords, the item was in stock in a sealed box. Opened and followed the simple instructions, was working within 5 minutes of purchasing the item which is well made and easy to use. Very happy with purchase, would recommend.
Easy setup and use
Ever so easy to get started.
Tested it straigh after config.
Very easy to use and easy to understand.
Its worth its price, although a carry case ought to be included when buying expensive equipment as so.
All in all will highly recommend the device to others!
Absolutely recommend the Excel
Bought the Excel from Halfords 29/12/25. Wanted the Elite 3 as it was £30 cheaper, but they did not have in stock so chose this. Glad I did , as I have used the Elite 3 before which is good, but the Excel is faster, easier to use and certainly gave me peace of mind. Well worth the extra £30!!
Alcosense Ultra recommended
I ordered the Alcosense Ultra breathalyser from the company website.
The website was straightforward and easy to use, and communication from company representatives was excellent, with the alcosense ultra arriving the next day as promised.
It is very easy to use and pretty much self explanatory, giving an accurate reading on each time of use.
I would recommend to anyone looking for a simple to use, easy to set up and easy to read breathalyser.

This product is fantastic and gives a real piece of mind the following morning when needing to drive. The price is well worth my driving licence. I highly recommend.
Thoroughly recommended.
They say first impressions are the most important. The Elite 3 looked and felt like it was made by my computer/tablet/phone company (No names). Setup was easy – and so is daily (?) use.
Obviously there’s no way to check the accuracy but amber readings at 08:00 followed be green ones at 12:00 would seem realistic.
Thoroughly recommended.
Great little device
Great little device, seems accurate and definitely worth it for the peace of mind.
I bought the Alcosense Elite 3 because I had the same back in 2020. It is accurate and gives you peace of mind.
bought a £40 alcosense lite 2…
bought a £40 alcosense lite 2 breathalizer. it showed safe to drive next morning after 8 pint tins of beer, 2.6 units. counting the bodies clearing ot units at 1 per hour i would not have been safe to drive till the following afternoon. Absolute waste of money , i binned it. Even while drinking it was still showing safe to drive, dont waste your money. Use the unit count and allow a margin of error, far more accurate. The best way is not to drink if you are driving the next day.

Alcosense Pro
Alcosense Pro
Does what it says on the box,
However, there are a few niggles
The blow tubes are short, which makes the screen very close to your eyes, fine if your you're a youngster,
If your older, its just a blurry screen, with coloured bars , so reading instructions isn't easy
Also The results are given in a format that may be correct , but isn't easy to understand
In the UK the limit most people know is
35 micrograms per 100 millilitres of breath
But the machine defaults to 0.80%oBAC,
so you just going on Green, Amber, Red screens
because xx.xx% BAC dosent relate to anything
Most people know the limit as 35 micrograms
Highly recommended.
After several years of sterling service from my Alcosense Lite 2 I decided that it was time for an upgrade. Being of a certain age I always prefer to deal directly with a human being wherever possible and to this end I contacted Karl at Alcosense who could not have been more helpful. I ended up purchasing, using the Alcosense great Part Exchange option, a Pro device which duly arrived two days later. As I said previously I was happy with my Elite 2 but this Pro unit is on another level. It is so easy to use with some great features but by far the most important element is the confidence it gives you in the knowledge that you within the law to drive. I would never drive after having consumed alcohol but I am very careful about residual alcohol content the morning after (a huge proportion of drink drive convictions are the morning after tests) this unit allows me to check that I am completely alcohol free prior to driving and you can’t put a price on that. In short, excellent piece of equipment backed up with first class customer service. Highly recommended.
Reassurance and accuracy confirming no alcohol prior to driving
Considered buying one for some time. Went direct to alcosense's website and bought the fuel cell one for £99.99. Delivered the next day, clear simple instruction to set up and use. It will provide reassurance and accuracy to confirm no alcohol prior to driving which I have always considered imperative.
Great to have
Great! Only recently got my sensor but it definitely seems like a sensible thing to have in my new car.
Perfect for the morning after to make sure you're safe to drive.
