Was quoted a price

Was quoted a price. Once movers came and we were packed said we owed 3500 more. Took over 3 weeks to get our stuff. We were told we were getting a refund of 500. It would take 3 to 5 days. It’s been 3 weeks. Still no refund. No one will answer my calls or return texts or emails. Avoid this company at all costs.

WARNING DO NOT USE

WARNING DO NOT USE! My move was a nightmare from start to finish, characterized by bait-and-switch pricing, poor communication, missing items, and significant damage. I was initially given one price over the phone, but on moving day, the driver claimed I had been "miss-quoted" and presented me with a much higher cost. This left me in an impossible situation, as I was moving my daughter from college, had a flight booked, and was essentially stuck with no other options. My calls and emails went unanswered, and it was nearly impossible to get a firm delivery date. This lack of transparency and responsiveness added immense stress to an already difficult situation. When my belongings were finally delivered, I discovered that multiple items were missing or damaged. The moving crew had done a poor job with the inventory list, failing to tag individual pieces, which made it impossible to track everything. Among the items that were missing were: a new queen-size mattress, The slats for the bed, a chair and a storage bag, 55 in TV mount. When I inquired about the missing items, I was given unhelpful suggestions, such as using an air mattress. The company also failed to take responsibility for the damage to my belongings, which included a new 55-inch TV, a TV stand, a nightstand, and a dresser. My walls and floors were also damaged during the delivery. When I contacted the company to file a claim, they directed me to a third-party claims site and told me to use the subcontractor's name instead of their own. This appears to be a tactic to distance themselves from the damage and liability. After filing a complaint with the BBB, the company's response was that I had "agreed" to the new price because I had paid in full. This completely ignored the fact that I had no choice but to pay if I wanted my belongings delivered. The final insult was an offer of a $200 credit to resolve the situation, which is a paltry sum considering the significant losses and damages I incurred. The company is not accredited by the BBB, which is a major red flag that I wish I had seen before hiring them.
My strong advice to anyone considering this company is to look elsewhere.

Horrible experience

Horrible experience, do not hire! I started calling the week of the move to get a time, they said 24-48 hours before the date scheduled they would know. 7pm the night before the move they tell me before noon, then the driver calls and tells me the next day which is not the day we scheduled. Had to argue to get them back to the scheduled day however they arrived at 5:30 at night and did not arrive to deliver the furniture until 2am!!! They added over 1000$ for “packing fees” ( we did all the packing). And for what they said was additional cubic feet. Customer service was entirely rude and unprofessional. They would not pack the truck unless we agreed to the additional fees. It was a nightmare working with them!!!!!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

I'm giving one start because I have to in order to write a review. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. In addition to prices going up once they arrived, they needed a quota and so they unpacked my items only to repack them and use their boxes and tape. Their tape has ruined several of my items. They also repacked my televisions (3) and all of them are broken. The packers arrived a day early and unannounced. They underestimated the size of the truck needed and so a one-person home took 3 days to pack. The movers did not use any protection against my wood floors and because of this, I am having to redo all of the floors in my home due to scratches and scrapes. Perhaps the worst part of Allegiance Moving is that they don't actually do the moving. The business that they contract with is equally as pitiful and scandalous as they are--asking for money on top of money in order to release my items from storage. When I attempted to pay via their website, I was called by a random woman telling me I would have to Venmo or Zelle her the funds. I refused and waited for someone to put the itemized bill in writing. It took weeks to hear from customer service and they did not care at all about the issues. PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

Most Distrustful Company in USA

This is the most distrustful company I have ever seen in the United States. Their Senior Relocation Analyst & Logistics Manager - John Capella will assured me with a quote# 3889425 for $2028.00 for relocation from MD to TX. The quote was for 300 ft3 and listed a Sofa Set, TV, TV Table, Coffee Table, Bins, Office Chair, Office Table, 2 Bed Frames with footboard, and 22 medium Boxes.

When the movers arrived on the day of pickup (the company was Imovers LLC NJ) they said only 33 boxes occupied the 300 ft3. I repeatedly called their customer service line and Natalie (Allegiance Customer representative) agreed "I was paying for dead air since the movers do not stack up the 3rd row".

Imagine their estimation capability was off by 40%. I had to leave behind 70% of the items listed in the quote. I had to leave my Sofa Set, TV Table, Coffee Table, Office Chair, Office Table, Bins.

On top of that, I had to pay an additional $838 to Imovers LLC NJ to include bed frames and TV. Imovers lost 5 boxes and parts of bed frame. They were compensating with 0.60$ per pound. Imagine you getting $31.50 as reimbursement from imovers for bed frames worth $900.

These people are cheaters, they want your money and will provide no support when movers arrive and rip you off in money.

Not only that, they will not provide any support on disputes, issues, or loss and damage of goods.

They are a broking company and do not account for any support or quality service of movers.

Don’t waste your money, don’t go with this company.

Go with the actual moving company and not crook brokers like these!

Move size: 2 Bedroom Home
Service cost: 2928USD

I'd rather kill myself than ever use…

I'd rather kill myself than ever use these brokers again. They're gonna lie to you to get your business and then when they don't keep their end of the deal they do absolutely nothing to help you, everyone in their customer service is utterly rude, my last call to them a lady refused to even let me speak with someone else about the million issues that were going on. Ultimately I have to pay 700 dollars extra in fees just to get my stuff because or the alternative is they drop it off at a storage unit and i have to move it into my apartment myself, which is what I'm literally paying them to do. Could have just done it all myself from the start, saved money on it, and actually have my stuff delivered when I was told it was. Long story short I hope anyone who is considering using them see's this and doesn't make the same mistake I did. This company shouldn't be in business.

Unprofessional, Deceptive Practices, and Significant Price Inflation

TL;DR:
- Allegiance Movers LLC (Broker) and I Movers LLC (Mover)
- No option for an in person estimate, resulting in a 200% price increase from initial quote
- At time of booking and first payment provided name of assigned moving company. Less than a week before our move date changed to a different moving company with negative online reviews
- Hasty, unprofessional packing including lack of packing materials used (bubble wrap, tv boxes, frame boxes, etc) resulting in damaged items
- Delivery date delayed twice, with poor communication
- Movers arrived late on pick-up, caused an accident with their truck leading to further delays
- Delivery outside agreed timeframe, resulting in cancelled meetings
- Unfinished move: left items in driveway & unassembled
- Lack of response to follow-up attempts
- Resulted in significant time lost: estimated 3-4 full workdays each for myself and my partner

Full Review:

My experience with this moving company was an exhausting saga of disappointment, frustration, and deception. I am sharing my experience to prevent others from suffering a similar ordeal.

With no option of an in person quote, Allegiance mover and Storage assured me that their phone-based estimate would be accurate. This assurance proved to be far from the truth. The initial quote of $4,000 given over the phone inflated to $6,000 (a 33% increase) just before the move due to the addition of three boxes. This issue took hours from my vacation to resolve. Upon arrival, the moving team (iMovers) announced a shocking price hike to $12,000, a 200% increase from the initial quote.

The change in moving companies, from the one initially assigned at time of booking to I Movers, was done without my consent or prior knowledge. Had I been informed, I would have canceled due to iMovers' negative online reviews, particularly their reputation for bait-and-switch tactics - an issue I experienced firsthand.

The packing was far from professional. The movers hastily and carelessly packed items, leading to considerable damage. Expensive coats were crammed into boxes, vinyl records were carelessly tossed resulting in warping, and books were damaged due to poor packing and lack of packing materials used dispute paying for the platinum packing package. They even dumped cat litter in my landlord's backyard. They failed to follow our instructions for packing key items like our bed, desk, and automatic cat box.

The packing supplies used did not justify the $3,000 charged, and the packing itself was far from satisfactory, as evidenced by the list of damaged items and photos provided.

We faced further setbacks when our agreed delivery date was delayed twice, despite verbal assurances from Bill Braker and the moving foreman from iMovers. We were left in the dark, as I had to call daily for updates and received no callbacks despite promises to the contrary.

As for the pick up - the movers' tardiness, arriving 40 minutes late and causing an hour delay by hitting a car with their moving truck. They didn't leave our apartment until 9pm. The items were delivered late at 6pm, outside the 12pm-2pm window, forcing me to cancel important work meetings.

Adding insult to injury, the delivery team didn't complete the move, leaving items in our driveway and others unassembled. Our attempts to follow up and rectify these issues were ignored; no calls were returned, and email communication ceased.

Over the course of this ordeal, my partner and I estimate we lost 3-4 full workdays each. This significant loss of time and productivity was due to their unprofessional conduct and mishandling of our move.

In conclusion, this moving company demonstrated a clear lack of respect for their clients. Their practices were deceptive, their services unprofessional, and their communication subpar. Anyone considering using their services should seriously take these issues into account.

If I could give no stars, I would

If I could give no stars, I would. This company is such a scam. On June 7, 2022, I initiated a call to Allegiance Moving and Storage after an online search for moving companies for my daughter’s move from South Carolina to Missouri, happening in August. I saw no red flags initially, and after 5 calls to and from Bill with Allegiance, I electronically signed a binding estimate of $2300 via email from Bill Braker, Moving Coordinator and sent an e-check in the amount of $1,050 on June 9, 2022 for the deposit to hold the move date via a link provided by Austin Ericson, Dispatch Manager (The receipt I received was via eDebit Direct. The remaining balance was to be paid half at pickup (by way of personal check or money order) and the other half at delivery (postal money order or Zelle or cash).

Two emails from Allegiance, one from me to them, two requests for a Google review of the company, and 13 telephone calls between us later, all communication from Allegiance ceased after July 12, 2022. Also, I could no longer access the estimate file with the reference number they originally provided.

Only after filing complaints with the Better Business Bureau and other organizations did they reach out again. They offered $100 with a non-disclosure agreement to be signed to compensate for the month my daughter had none of her belongings and when she did get them they were wet and damaged and had been in storage with a company Allegiance sent us to in a completely different state the entire time. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

Complete scam

Complete scam. They are a broker and not an actual moving company. They charge high fees with very little service and basically take money from you in exchange for scheduling your move with an actual moving company. Their customer service is worthless as they give you the run around and tell you how you can't get a mover scheduled without them & their significant fee. Go directly to the source and skip the money grabbing middle man, call a real moving company and not a broker!
