Like many other unfortunate people here, I got dumped with this company when they bought out another SIPP provider. It’s hard to know where to start to describe just how inept they are! If you are thinking of using them, my very strong advice would be to avoid them like the plague. I reside is the US and have a NT (no tax code status) meaning I only pay tax in the US under the tax treaty between the 2 countries. When I eventually got some of my money out of them, after 10 long weeks of back and forth (don’t bother with email, they don’t reply). I resorted to calling them
every other day to get them to send me my money. Instead of asking me about my UK tax position, they applied 40% HMRC tax and sent the money with this amount deducted. I am truly speechless and am now going to move to another SIPP provider who knows what they are doing. Their people are very nice and I was careful not to lose my rag, but the left arm has no idea what the right arm is doing and they need to brought to book by the UK authorities and fast. Hopefully when the $7et hits the fan, I will no longer be tied to them. I feel sorry for their staff and if I worked there I would be rapidly looking for another job. Is it possible to give less than 1 star? 😱

We have a SIPP with Alltrust after it took over from another company and , honestly, they are a nightmare. They hardly ever answer any emails even when it is stated as urgently requiring a response....our last few emails have been ignored. They are taking a fee from us without doing anything for it. Avoid them if you can!!!

I have been trying to contact and discuss my pension with all trust for the last year and trying to Get in contact with someone is impossible. The fact that they manage my pension pot won’t respond to simple requests astounds me. Time to change pension management company!

I have been trying to do a pension draw down since 21 Dec 25 and to date no progress. The excuse is “we are experiencing higher than expected demand”. When I was able to speak to someone I was told they’d lost staff but he would escalate my situation. Still nothing and we’re now at 5 Feb 26.

No complaints. Made an ad hoc withdrawal from my SIPP, which initially was not urgent, but when it did become urgent it appears to me that Alltrust stepped up the gas.

Alltrust took over my SIPP from a previous company who liquidated overnight. I started drawing down my pension late last year, at a rate of 2000 net per month. In October last year, I found that Alltrust had mistakenly informed the HMRC that i had received £77 k in pension payments for the current year, which is a nonsense. Consequently, my Tax Code changed and I am now having 40% deducted at source. My Accountant has spoken with HMRC and is powerless to correct the error, it has to come from the Pension provider. So my IFA tries to contact them daily, which is no mean feat as they just don't pick up, to try to persuade them to rectify the situation. This has been going on for months now, despite assurances that they will correct their mistake. They don't, they are liars. They blame system failures, a 2 month backlog of work and the fact that they have taken over two other SIPP provider "books" and are overwhelmed. When this is finally sorted my IFA will escalate to the Ombudsman. I share previous posters sentiments that they are the worst Company I have EVER had the displeasure of dealing with. Do your blood pressure a favour and avoid these clowns at all costs. You have been warned.

Alltrust have been a complete nightmare. Their communication is non existant, and as I write this, access to the portal I use to access my SIPP is down again. And they are refusing to provide any reconciliation of my current SIPP balance. They will provide a balance, which looks to be approximately 30% lower than it should be. But they refuse to give me the information around how that balance was achieved.
Historically they have been very obstructive when I want to make withdrawals, and have now refused to work with my US based financial advisor. I’m trying to get my money transferred to another trustee, but cannot do so until I can reconcile the 30% shortfall that they refuse to provide details about. AVOID!

I was advised to appoint a financial advisor by these guys, now turns out there is no money in the SIPP and I now have a bill for £1400 for an advisor I never needed. Is it any wonder we have no trust in financial institutions.

This company has got to be the worst I have ever dealt with. They have delayed closure of my SIPP for over 1.5 months with absolutely no contact from them whatsoever. After multiple emails (no reply) and phonecalls (hours waiting in phone queue) i finally got through to them and all they could say is that my case is being escalated and gave no clear indication as to when I would get my money (even stated that because of the Xmas period nothing will happen until next year!). Appalling service from people who are paid to manage my money and have potentially now caused me a loss in money. I will definitely be reporting this company to the FCA. Stay away from these people.
