If you’re considering installing an Alpha boiler, please take heed of this warning. Don’t be tempted by the good price and apparent decent warranty, it means nothing.
Our boiler is 3 years old and has been nothing but trouble. When it finally gave up last week, I reported the issue online and got a reply saying the company would be in touch within 24 hours.
As no contact had been made, a few days later I phoned the company who told me an engineer would be in touch within 48 hours.
When no contact was made, I phoned again. Nothing but vague maybes is all I could get. “When he’s in the area”. That’s not really good enough in the dead of winter with no heating or hot water.
What exactly does the warranty mean?
You just freeze until they can be bothered to sort it out?
Pay a bit extra and get a decent boiler.

Have to say taking out a maintenance agreement when i bought the boiler was one of my better decisions.
Customer services are excellent i had a small problem with my boiler today.
The technician was very helpful and guided me through the simple tests to get me back hot water.
Excellent service from Customer Services and the contractor they use is also excellent.

Gary, the annual service engineer, was very helpful and took care of all heating components (boiler and hybrid heatpump).

OUTSTANDING SERVE FROM GARY AND ALPHA BOILERS
My wife is disabled so rellies on her carers for all her needs. Our hot water suddenly went off on Friday 22 August, which left us without any hot water. Because it was a bank holiday weekend they said they could not get anyone to us until the Tuesday. I then missed the booking call which delayed the whole process. Alpha servicing centre were really helpful once they realised I missed the booking call and got their local Gas Registered engineer to use asap (he arrived on Friday 29 August).
Gary the fitter was brilliant, he could not have been more helpful. He changed lots of parts on the boiler and could still not get it working (he said nothing defeats me, I like a challenge). Unfortunately, late Friday afternoon after discovering the root cause of the problem, he did not have the part on his van so had to order it in.
Gary spoke to Alpha. It looked like the boiler would not be fixed until this week (and Gary was be seconded to Wales for the week) and it would probably be another fitter who come this week.
But, I got a call on Saturday morning form Gary. He said Alpha had 'overnighted' the part to his home and he would come Saturday morning to fix it as he knew how difficult the situation was.
He finally got it working by Saturday lunchtime. I don't normally leave reviews but Gary really put himself out to get this sorted. And to boot, a great character. I can't praise and thank him enough (and the team at Alpha.

The service technician was great but…
The service technician was great but the scheduling process needs work. While away on holiday, a message was left on our machine saying boiler service was scheduled unless we called to reschedule. We didn't get the message until after we returned so they made a wasted trip. We did set up a new appt. but no time frame was given. We had to call in the afternoon to ask when someone would arrive and the guy was still 2 1/2 hours out. Method of scheduling needs evaluation to save everyone's time.
Super Engineer called Phil.
We had today a super engineer to service our heating boiler. He was professional, clean and tidy. We know our system will do for another year.
He rang us early morning and arrived when he said he would.

I booked an annual service with Alpha-Innovation. The process was easy, Vic the engineer phoned on the day to keep me apprised of likely time of arrival. He was professional, efficient, helpful and courteous throughout.
Would highly recommend both Alpha-Innovation and Vic.

Alpha live by their words on boiler guarantee
Had an issue with the Alpha boiler installed just over 2 years ago. Rang Alpha to arrange for an engineers visit, had a call back response within half an hour from customer services saying an engineer would be in touch to arrange the visit. Within half an hour of that conversation had a call from customer services saying their engineer Vic would visit next day and would call when he was on his way to us. Next day at 9.15 had a call from Vic saying he would be with us within half an hour. Vic arrived, following a quick conversion, his obvious experience identified the probable problem, new part fitted, boiler tested all in 40 minutes.
I can not overstate how impressed I am with both the Alpha customer services and the professionalism of Vic the engineer at a time when it counts most. If you are looking to get a new boiler, look carefully at the Alpha range not just because they make good quality, well priced boilers, but because they back up their guarantee with actions when it matters, not just empty words like others I have had dealings with over my many years.

First of all I missed the appointment as I was late getting back. Call and ask to revist the same day and their come back 15 minutes later. The engineer got start to work after asking a quick question. Got the boiler working very quickly and I very impressed over all. As I got a boiler engineer out from a different company he spend 3 hours working on the boiler and could not fix it. Would recommend Alpha to everyone
