You can always call the local police and/or pay Uber to check out the business for you. And if the business doesn't allow for local pickup without an appointment, then you know it's a scam.
I contacted the phone number provided spoke with representative. I asked him about clarks landing yacht sales which is mentioned on there website and he said he has bought boats from them before. I live right next to clarks landing in shady side maryland and I went there and asked them if they knew alpha marine and the owner of clarks landing said he has never done business with them and he said that they are definitely a scam! I then called back to alpha marine and asked him about clarks landing and said they didnt do business with you and he hung the phone up on me and wont answer my calls anymore. Do not send this company any money!

I will explain my experience from A to Z. I saw an advert on Facebook and decided to test the waters. I called the phone number they gave me and tried to verify the address given to me and noticed it was somewhere at a warehouse but it said nothing about the business. The customer service tried to convince me that they had not yet done a google business verification reasons why their business did not show on the address provided. I already had a lot of red flags in my head but was willing to go to the bottom of it. So i am in Florida meaning if i had to order, they were going to have to ship to me. I thought about this for almost 3 to 4 days before i gave in. On their website, the only payment option was a bank transfer which made me more suspicious but still like i said i was willing to go to the bottom of all of it. I placed an order of $8700. They emailed me the bank transfer information. I went to the bank and sent the money then left it to God. i still have a picture of the bank transfer. They confirmed the payment and told me that i will be hearing from them soon with a tracking number. I waited for close to 3 days before i could get a tracking number. I was a little bit relived after getting the tracking number but then it was just a number. What i wanted to see was my boat motor. After the tracking number, no one reached out to me for close to 8 days whereas they said delivery was between 5 to 6 or latest 7 days. I kept calm and kept tracking the order. It finally arrived after 14 days. I was very happy it came through but then it took so much longer than expected. I would like to say this business is real just the process is a little stressful of which if you are not patient enough, you will assume they are scammers. I will want to use this opportunity to advise them to improve on their delivery process.
They are the best when it comes to fairly used motors. I do not know about their new motors because i ordered a fairly used 70 hp and i received exactly what was on the description. They have a lot of used motors available. i am so happy for my order and can gladly recommend them.
With the the good and the bad reviews i saw online, it got me really skeptical but i was willing to give a try. I went ahead and ordered a 30 hp with lots of doubts if i was going to receive it or not. Waited 3 days before i could get a tracking number from ABF. I was still very nervous after getting the tracking number because some people complained of another fee. i waited 8 days and my order showed up. I was really surprised and happy at the same time. It was not an easy wait after seeing what others have experienced.
After looking for, finding, researching, and paying for a motor on AlphaMarineSupply I got an email from BlueDart Shipping stating the motor was held up in Customs and needed to pay a refundable custom fee despite the advertisement stated free shipping and never said this was an overseas shipment (grey market).
They even said they would pay half if I pay half and would refund me after it got through customs (This is were they would ask for my bank account info). Total and unfortunate scam. Hopefully I can recover but I certainly hope no one else gets taken by this site.
If you call the shipping company Google Ring Central "attempts to find" someone and a recording from a lawyers office answers.
15 days after I ordered and the company will not respond to me nor will they clear the shipment through customs without paying more. I am also highly doubtful there really is a motor stuck in customs or that there was a motor to begin with.
BEWARE
This vendor continues to ghost me and despite there promise of making me a priority I have yet to hear from them, receive my motor, or a refund. Next will be to file a fraud report.
Update 6/24/24:
Still not a word from this company regarding my motor, explanation, or refund. The shipping company keeps sending me request for money via WhatsApp written in very broken English. The sales rep who was texting me regularly leading up to the sale no longer responds to texts. I am still left with no motor and no money.
