Take bad reviews with a grain of salt!

I’ve been looking for a good canoe paddle for a little while just couldn’t turn loose of the money. My wife said what you want for Christmas the other night so I start looking again. The cheapest I can find this bending branches paddle is $139 with free shipping. I looked on eBay but with shipping a used paddle is even more than new. I see the paddle in an Al’s add for $94.46. Being from SW Oklahoma I had never heard of Al’s so I was a little sceptic. I look up reviews for Al’s it had some really high reviews and some bad ones Like always. Thought I would give them a shot & use PayPal so I was guaranteed to get my money back if something happened. Right after I ordered the paddle I get an email saying they received my order. Couple days later a email saying they sent it (ordered over a holiday weekend).I get the paddle about a day later. Al’s is now going to be on the top of my go to’s list when shopping on line! Glad I stumbled onto it.

Very positive experience

Contrary to some of the negative posts, I had a very positive experience with this company.
Ordered a new tent, smooth payment process, fast, free shipping and product showed up less than a week later new and unopened.

Ordered a wake board package

Ordered a wake board package, they emailed me 8 days later that they didn't have it in stock anymore and tried to bait me into a different wakeboard that was a much worse deal for the same price. Found out that they had both the wake board and bindings separately, but won't combine them into the package because the buyer said they couldn't. If you are going to sell something, then make it right. Not real impressed.

9 days - epic fail

I ordered a Thule roof top tent from Als.com. Price was very competitive and with free shipping. I promptly ordered. After 3 days, my order was stuck in "Handling Order" status. Called the support hotline, which was quick to answer. Customer representative explained that this was a direct ship item, and my order will be updated once they have shipping info. 5 days later, no status change. I called Als.com again. Same conversation, but with an added twist. I was told to wait until after Als.com missed their delivery estimate and to call a 3rd time. It never got to that point, the day before estimated delivery Als cancelled my order due to a website error and inability to ship large items. Why does Als.com have items on their website they can't fulfil? They wasted 9 days of my time. Think twice before buying large or competitively priced items.

careless fulfillment obliterates savings

2 stars because they had in stock the socks I wanted, at least at time of order. I ordered 3 pair on their website. It was worth shipping fees with that amount. However, upon opening package, there were 2 pair, and what should've been 3rd pair was only 1 sock. Any sober staffer would've seen this when fulfilling order. I emailed them and they said they no longer had the socks in stock and would refund 1 pair of socks. That refund didn't include shipping costs and cost per pair of socks went up at least $2 a pair. Not worth the frustration.

Knowingly sent me a defective product

Knowingly sent me a defective product. Pair of Smith ski googles with the silicone strips on the inside of the band, for holding gripping the helmet. The silicone rubbed off with the lightest touch. I noticed as I returned the product that the return address on the original box was Als.com Returns - they sent me a pair that had already been returned. Also, no option for "defective product" or paid return label for the return shipment - will not shop with them again.

Two strikes

I ordered a bikini and received hiking boots. It was a huge ordeal trying to get my money back and process a refund. I tried them again a few months later for a jacket. It arrived with the security tag still attached. They told me to get a "big magnet" and take it off?!!!

I have been looking for Taurus G2C

I have been looking for Quality Taurus magazines for my G2C. After searching many websites, I came across ALS.COM. The price beat everyone that carries this item. Then the part that put the order from Good to Very Good was the S&H was free via USPS. I received the package within 3 days and was able to track the progress. Deal with ALS if you want Quality and a product you can depend on. Deal with confidence.

I really enjoy shopping at Al's

I really enjoy shopping at Al's, even more than Cabela's and Sportsman's. I like their quality products, great selections, competitive pricing, and an always helpful staff. Their staff seems to be well planned compared to the larger stores I previously mentioned. I was in Sportsman's yesterday and had to walk around for 5 minutes with a fishing rod in hand just to get questions answered about the rod. There was no one in the fishing department.

Al’s has OUTSTANDING service and great prices. The staff are always helpful when you call. They always do whatever they can to help you. Even the shipping department makes sure your order is well packed and protected. Great teamwork!! I made multiple orders this year. ALWAYS great service. Highly recommend AL’s for outdoor gear.

In-Store or Curbside Pickup

The in-store pickup is so quick and easy! I’ve used it twice now, and will probably continue to do so. I haven’t done the curbside, yet, and I still like to walk through and browse, too, but I definitely like this option!

In-store pickup is very quick and convenient.

This was the first time I've used Al's in-store pickup for something that I needed quickly (replacement parts for my bike rack). The order was available when promised and I'm sure I made it out of the store 3x or 4x faster than I would have if I would have had to go in and look for the part myself. The whole process was really easy.
