If you need the exact gear you're ordering, order somewhere else

Check Yelp reviews too - sending the wrong gear seems common at Als.com.

I was sent the wrong gear for a time critical trip. When I called about the issue, Als.com said that it is totally their fault, that they have never carried the listed and pictured gear that I ordered. Say what??? Why didn't they call me instead of shipping a knowingly wrong item AND totally putting me in a bad situation? How can any item be trusted on their website?

I ordered full length Black Diamond STS ski skins but instead they sent me Black Diamond non-STS kicker skins. Totally different skins for different purposes. They said they would offer a discount for me to keep them. Really? Terrible business strategy. Customers expect the exact gear that they order!

Very satisfied with my first purchase...

I'm very satisfied with my first purchase from them. Be aware that website stock quantities might be inaccurate from actual stock on hand. I ordered several items including clearance items and one clearance item didn't have the quantity the website listed. I was already aware of this possibility because I had read other people's reviews from other sites before I purchased from Al's. They emailed me promptly and asked if I wanted a similar substitute item or to have the item refunded. I had them go ahead with the similar item and am pleased with it. Shipping was fast (and free with the minimum ship-for-free order amount). I wouldn't hesitate to buy from them again.

Knowledgeable team at the bike shop area, had most cycling parts in stock, the one they didn't have they ordered in. Went the extra mile to diagnose a challenging problem I was having and fix it. This is my new bike shop!

Excellent customer service

There was a non-major issue with the timeliness of my order being shipped. I don't remember the name of the young man who helped me, but he promptly found out what went wrong, straightened it out so that no one else would have the same issue, reimbursed my credit card for my shipping cost and gave me a discount on the item as well. I did not ask for any of this, he just did it... and he thanked me for bringing the issue to his attention too. Needless to say, I'm very happy, and highly recommend Al's!
