Really annoying to cancel

The internet isn't the worst but sometimes it is very slow to stream a movie or video chat online even. It's $60 for 200mbps so I called to cancel as I can get 4gbps for $60 elsewhere. Had to talk to 2 people who asked me the same questions, and they tried offering stuff like $99 for 400mbps, when I kept saying I just want to cancel. It took 22 minutes. Very frustrating that you can't cancel online.

The worst customer service ever

The worst customer service ever, absolutely the worst..
So many calls, so many transfers.. many days of trying but the issue still not resolved. (Especially the French speaking customer service)
However the person at loyalty department cancelled my service immediately when I asked her firmly to process it.

Horrifically Bad Service!

I was with Start.ca and they were absolutely fantastic! The product and the pricing were amazing, the customer service, was second to none. Then these asshats took over months ago and it has been a nightmare! The online portal doesn't work properly, and every month for the last several months, I get hundreds of dollars pulled out of my bank account to cover my $89 bill. Today it is $359.68. 4 times my bill! Last month they responded (days later) said it was a problem they were having with BMO and that hopefully it was rectified. Nope. Woke up this morning and my May bill is this! They never took ownership and were very flippant on the phone. No offer of anything for my troubles, which has been happening EVERY month! And they are impossible to get ahold of! Such a drop in service like I have never experienced.

Can't understand what people are saying…

Can't understand what people are saying at this company. Very thick accents. I called them to ask why they took 2, yes 2! payments in one month. I also got an overdraft charge as I do not get paid til the 1st. I do not recommend this company to anyone. Apparently they bought out our local provider, Truespeed Internet.

Beware of Altima Scam

I attempted to connect the new equipment sent by altima and it directed me to call a number +18884493615, the man directed me to access my Amazon prime account and then proceeded to tell me someone had attempted to purchase a large number of gift cards on my account. At this point, I asked why he needed access to my prime when I was simply trying to hook up TV equipment. His only repeated response was the info about the gift cards. At this point I said I felt this was a scam and I verbally withdrew all permissions for access to prime.

The number that began this situation came from your company's equipment. I want a clear explanation of why your representative wanted access to my account.

Absolutely brutal service

Absolutely brutal service. My internet stopped working and after 5 days, still no service with no explanation. As I do some of my work at home, this hurt and to top it off, after letting them know I had to switch providers, they never refunded me.

Worst company I ever experienced in my life. I had no Internet for a week three different days. They said they were sending somebody and I took work off and they never showed up three times in a row still have no Internet. They can't tell me nothing. they just say they'll call me back and never do run as far from this company as you can.

Absolute garbage company

Absolute garbage company. Telus/altimatel bought out Start which used to be an amazing internet provider. Now, its nothing but internet cuts randomly, slowdowns, you don't get anything close to what you're paying for, your so called grace period for your bill? Instant or else. I'll be cancelling and switching to someone else. Its not worth the headaches and garbage support now.

Their website for customers looks like an teenager made it on their first attempt at building a website. Its atrocious.

This is really a terrible service

This is really a terrible service. Your unlimited internet starts to slow down a couple of weeks before the end of the month. What you buy and what you actually get are not the same. There is absolutely no trust in this provider. By the way, I don’t even know how I became their client. I had another provider. I just woke up one morning and noticed that I had been sold to this company without my consent.

Abysmal company

Ah, the power of technology. Altima, a Telus company, bought out Citywide Communications. Citywide was my provider of choice for hi speed internet. Altima, when taking over, sent a brief text telling me "Hi. glad you chose Altima" or suchlike. I didn't choose them they landed in my inbox by virtue of purchasing my supplier. Since then I have attempted to obtain an account number - not available. Attempted to discuss the changeover with a CSR who is totally incompetent, and when looking at the website cannot even set up an online account as I have no credentials from them with which to do so. As Telus actually bought Citywide over a year ago they have had ample time to get their act in order. Not done. Needless to say I have signed up with another supplier and will switch over within the next week. Good riddance Altima and poor planning Telus

Continued to bill us after line was transferred to another company

No issues with the phone service. However, after I transferred the number to another company, they continued to bill me monthly. At first, they did not want to stop billing from the time the line was officially moved to the new company. Took about 1.5 hours on the phone to sort it out and receive a credit for the time since the line was transferred

Terrible and dishonest

Terrible and dishonest marketing tactics, they offered me a good plan during Black Friday as I was about to leave for another provider, but call me back 5 days later and changed the term and suddenly tell me the price was only valid for a year WHICH IS NOT WHAT THEY TOLD ME WHEN I ACCEPTED THEIR PLAN !!!
