I've never had a bad experience with altra until they added $3300 to my auto loan and doubling my monthly payment which i cant afford and with no notice so I can fix my auto insurance!! Something so simple to fix and instead of giving me notice I get screwed! So thank you altra!

Currently, Altra has an issue with their remote mobile deposit banking app that "only affects a small amount of certain Android users". I found out this "small amount" is about 35% of their users. Altra elected not put a splash banner out on their website notifying affected users of this issue. The only way I found out was when I attempted to deposit a check. I do not live in state and have limited ways to deposit a check remotely. I depend on this feature and the transparency from the credit union to notify me of when there's an issue that could potentially affect me. This has been going on for at least a month and they might have a fix in place sometime this month. How will I know when it's fixed? I just have to keep trying until it finally works. I'm currently shopping for a new deposit financial institution.

Always very helpful in answering or solving whatever questions we have. We've been banking with them for about 50 years now. Every loan has been through Altra, formerly Trane Credit Union.

Aways polite and friendly service. I do like whats offered at Altra. The only negitive, would be the lack of in person bankin on the south or east side of Rochester.

Kwik Trip doesn't charge a fee to use its ATM, but Altra has to tack on a fee. That stinks. First of all, Altra's Onalaska location is terrible. Tricky to enter the lot and tricky to exit the lot because of traffic and the crazy way so many people drive. I asked for an ATM location at the Oak Forest location, but my request was ignored. So to circumvent Altra's lack of concern for me, I simply get $500 of 20s so I have a supply of change on hand. There are numerous financial institutions in the area and I'm shopping.

I can usually get in and out of 1 of 3 branches here in under 15 minutes. The staff are knowledgeable and fast.

I was helped with a billing update/ issue with Jeri Lee Weigel​​​​. She was a GEM to work with. Provided me with options to get me setup and saved me additional charges to ensure I wouldn’t miss a payment. Folks like Jeri should always be highlighted, someone who takes care of the task at hand with a great warm welcoming attitude!

Competitive rates and anytime I have called (1800 or the local banks, either one) for help, I have always gotten it. Decent support, the only gripe I have is that my closest bank location never keeps its people long. I have stopped even TRYING to memorize the names of the latest staff, lol
Love what they do for community outreach, I would like to see more businesses helping the local area.

In terms of banking it’s fairly standard as other banks. My issue is their app. If you go to their reviews on apple, you will see what I mean.

Constant connection errors, sometimes multiple times a day. Issues with the app not allowing logging in or being logged out.

Along with the app failing to meet the most basic of modern day banking app necessities. No mobile alerts for authorized or unauthorized purchases, no alerts for deposits or withdrawals and no virtual card option. These issues remain unchanged even though they’ve been occurring for more than 2 years.

Acknowledgment then ignorance is how these matters have been handled as reviews continue to come to be posted monthly on the apple App Store. It’s become apparent that they will continue negligent behavior as that is the pattern they’ve chosen to display. Ask yourself as a company why you continue to fail at meeting the expectations of your customers and why you continue to do nothing about it.

These issues should not be treated as inconveniences from your customers, but rather as an opportunity to demonstrate your ability to separate yourselves from other banks by resolving them and show you care about the people who keep the lights on in your offices.

Upon entering Altra FCU in clarksville I was greeted by all the personnel. I opened an account for myself and 2 education accounts for my grandchildren. The ease and simplicity of doing so in the office made me feel confident about choosing Altra for local banking. Later that year I up graded one child's account and opened a savings and checking for my grandson who needed a bank in town. Altra has been most helpful and provide the tools I need to get my banking needs done. Thanks to the staff at Clarksville branch.

I had the worst experience with a teller. Spoke to someone at another branch office. Was told i was going to receive a call back. Never received one. i called back was put through to someone. Received a call back and she tells me”that’s on me”, with regards to not reaching out or being diligent. Explained how i was made to feel devalued, said that was terrible , -again,”that’s on me”, and continues to devalue me. The called was made at 6 pm as i was cooking dinner and rather than attempt to make the customer feel heard, proceeds to argue. it’s like she called to upset me more and did not care to think of her words and their impact. horrible.

My routing number was compromised on my checking account. I have had this same checking account for over 20 years. I was devastated. The fraud department was very helpful in getting a new checking account opened. The lady I spoke with was very patient and walked me through each process. I am forever grateful. She always was able to get the funds compromised transferred back to my account the same day. She told me she would watch my account to make sure paychecks were deposited to the correct account. It feels good knowing someone is watching out for you!
