No shipping confirmation after waiting 6 days. No answer at customer service after multiple calls. Payment went through, no way to contact anyone with Altra for a refund. Emails are being returned, saying host not found at email listed for Altra’s contact. Horrible way to run a business. Will be filing a claim with PayPal.

Received my order 9/28. Since 9/28, I've emailed and called (888-851-9411) many times for a Return Authorization # but couldn't get any answer. I've followed Altra website return policy.
I held on the phone for 30 minutes numerous times, no answer, no way to leave a message. This Trustpilot web site can automatically send reviews to an Altra email account. But my email to that Altra info account bounced back.
I suspect Altra is going to default and close the business soon.

The shoes are wonderful but the company is terrible
The shoes are wonderful, comfortable and supportive. But the customer service is terrible. I needed to return a pair that did not fit properly. They advertise they return within 30 days, but they do not answer phone or respond to email. So there is no way to get an RMA for returns. And then the 30 days are almost passed and I still cannot get a response. That is not only shabby customer service, it is fraudulent since they make it impossible to return. And now I am out over $100.
These are wonderful shoes
These are wonderful shoes. I have 50% less hip pain. The first shoes I've had in years that fit my heel. The toe box accomodates my orthotic. Thank you!
I absolutely love my Altra Intuition…
I absolutely love my Altra Intuition running shoes. Super comfortable and makes my feet feel great. However, one shoe has a squeak in the sole, and it's driving me crazy. If the company can get rid of the squeak or replace my shoe, I would definitely give this a 5 star rating.
Really love the design of these shoes
Really love the design of these shoes. Love the larger toe area and the zero drop really helps with my heal striking. I find it easier to strike mid-foot or even concentrate on toe striking.
The soles of my feet are sore after a run in these shoes though. I am hoping that is just part of the adjustment process of wearing the "other type" of running shoes for so long.

I cannot get through on the phone to tell you that 1) you charged me 2 times for Escalante Running shoes. 2) I did not receive any Escalante shoes. 3) I received the Altra Lone Peaks that I did order but they were delivered in a soaking rain--so they are wet. 4) I would like to return the Lone Peaks but cannot get (by telephone) an RMA because nobody ever answers the phone, nor do they call back. You clearly need HELP there!

Very disappointed
I received my Altra Escalante shoes in the mail on the 18th of September. I was excited until I tried them on, they were made crooked and the tongue was so thin, I couldnt get it to lay flat. I have called customer service twice, left messages, with no return call. I have emailed twice with no response from customer service. I am still waiting for my RMA number and UPS postage so I can return the shoes and get my purchase price back. Please respond to this. I am very disappointed in the shoe and the service
Long Distances?
I was hoping for a little more information on their shoes on their website. They have a shoe for short distances but not for long distances. Buying a new type of shoe online in always makes me nervous. I have heard really great things about Altra Running shoes from people online but I don't know any runners that run in these shoes.
I loved how they had a quiz that asked about my activities and wear on my treads. This quiz made me confident enough to buy these shoes.
Great shoes but terrible customer service...buyer beware
I've only used the Lone Peak's and love them. I recently ordered my second pair through eBay, maybe a risky move on my part, but they were a great deal and in brand new condition. The stitching on one shoe came completely apart after only two runs! Believing this to be a manufacturer's defect, (my first pair never had this problem) I contacted both the eBay seller and Altra directly. The eBay seller offered me a 50% refund without needing to send the shoes back, and I waited a couple days to see what Altra would offer (was hoping for a full refund or replacement). After 10 days, still no word from Altra (so I did take the 50% ebay refund). Then sent another email, and a voicemail (due to high call volume on their end), finally received a response to my second email (never got a call back from them) saying, "I apologize for the delay in response. Where were the shoes purchased? If from a retailer and not our website have you reached out to them to see if they can do an exchange or refund? Our shoes do have a manufactures warranty. Please let me know so we can find you a warranty solution."
Basically passing the buck on to the original seller. I responded and have yet to hear back. I should add that IF Altra had responded to my first email within a timely manner, I would have been in the 30 day window stated on their website that allows a buyer to send their shoes back for a replacement. Can't believe that a random ebay seller would have a better return policy/customer service than a highly reputable running shoe company.
It's unfortunate because I love(d) their shoes. If you do buy Altra's, I'd advise NOT buying off their website, and double/triple checking the shoes for any manufacturer's defects and making SURE you are in the correct size.
