Lisa sensei is a patient and encouraging teacher. Her lessons are relaxed and feel casual. I learned a lot from her lessons. She is trilingual in English, Japanese, and Chinese, so it is easy for me to explain myself in Chinese if I am stuck in Japanese, or vice versa.

AmazingTalker has been very helpful for finding and matching with great teachers; that part really works well and it’s what I value the most. However, the platform itself still needs a lot of improvement. The navigation isn’t very intuitive, and there are constant pop-ups repeating things I’ve already done. Even after buying lessons, when I visit my teacher’s profile it still asks what I want to learn, as if it doesn’t recognize that I’m already a student. Overall, the teachers are excellent and the search/matching system is solid, but the platform’s usability definitely needs work.
