I am disappointed as many repair shops in VA will not work with Car Shield. Car Shield doesn’t pay the listed price for labor as stated in the policy. They pay an estimated dollar amount based on US National Labor Guide which is very inaccurate leaving the customer with charges in addition to your copay.

After purchasing my extended warranty thru Key Vehicle Resources, I took my vehicle to a repair facility after a couple months and provided records of what had been done to my vehicle at previous repair facilities . American Auto Shield declined the claim for my repairs saying that my vehicle had pre-existing conditions even tho the other repair facilities noted that vehicle was working fine and nothing was wrong. I even tried to dispute the decision and they never got back to me about the decision, they also wanted me to provide more documents to see if they would be able to overturn the decision. After I submitted the documents they wanted, they still said that the claim was still canceled due to pre-existing conditions. i had my vehicle at the repair facility for about two months to see if they would over turn the decision and not once did they call the repair facility or call me about what was going on.

They take forever to process your claim and expect you to foot the bill for the rental, as they only cover 7 days. They then allowed their appraiser to lie to me and tell me that the part would be delivered in 5 days. I spoke with the mechanic, who said the work would be done in 1 day, so this should have worked for me. I went and got the rental based on that information. Since then, they called me and said that the shipping will take longer, but they will not cover the rental for a longer period because the repair is not covered in the contract. I understand contracts, so I get it, but as a customer, giving a 1-star review is deserved for what I have had to put up with this service and what its going to cost me out of pocket.

Considering the time of the incident it took the wrecker driver about an hour to arrive which was not bad. The driver (his name was Glen) was awesome. Thank you Car Shield and Glen of Flat Rock Towing & Recovery, LLC

In my opinion roadside service was excellent, however customer service seems to be slow in finding roadside service for my location.

My experience was great! Professional and speedy.

I was stuck in front of the airport and you know how busy that can be. I dd not have to wait long at all.

They answers all my question and informed me who was going to pick up the vehicle and how much I had to pay out of pockets.

The Representative Kay for towing service was very professional, explained the process and towing coverage. She contacted the nearest towing company within 5-7 mins of our call. Go Pro Towing reached out to me, provided time (45mins) that vehicle would be picked up. They were prompt, took car to designated dealership. Excellent service by both would recommend CarShield to family/friends.

The overall professionalism from start to finish, and the promptness of my scheduled tow which was within an hour of the call being placed.
