Its just stealing money, the guy comes and quickly charges you before you even explained what you need, now I know why! They have so many unhappy customers they cannot risk not taking the money! The basically wipe and spray the car, and the car looks just as dirty afterwards! I think they are told not to use spray much either so its terrible what they do! I stood there showing them a million dirty parts of the car until I got tired and gave up. Deceitful disgusting service

If there was an option to give no stars I would. The staff have no clue what they are doing, someone is one the phone, someone is vaping whilst washing and drying cars. They looked half asleep like they did not want to be here.

I don’t usually write reviews, but I felt compelled to after my recent visit to The American Car Wash.
First, the staff seemed not rushed and not very attentive,like they been sent for exile,i don't expect them to be polite, but they can't tell me "don’t like go,go"when I've paid already.

Secondly, I noticed several small scratches on my car after the wash, which weren’t there before. When I politely raised my concern, I was met with denial and defensiveness rather than any effort to inspect or resolve the issue.

For the price they charge, the quality should be much higher. I would not recommend this place if you care about your car. There are much better options around that treat both the vehicle and the customer with more care and respect.

Website said £130 for valet and at end of service today make staff they insisted on £150 instead and I had to pay for salt crumbs and tobacco that was already in car when I left it to be cleaned it returned back to me same condition and I think they wanted to not only rip me of but also the company because they insisted on me paying via cash instead of my debit card that way they could pocket the earning and tell their boss I never showed up for the booking this terrible service was today18/02/25 at Highgate, and I must have waited 3 hours only to arrive to find him polishing in the dirt with a dirty rage showing my macdonald burger salt still in the front consol along with tobacco crumbs, disgusting rip off service never ever again will I go use any branch of American car wash ever again I hate all your service, I pay you 150 rip off for nothing 🤬 hope you all get shut down and go out of business fast disgusting cowboys 🤠 and go to hell and weds it don't sk you to pay in cash so watch out for these so called people

I have to say that I was extremely impressed with the service and results from this carwash. These people work HARD! The car was left in an absolutely immaculate condition, inside and out. I have a big dog who drops a lot of mud, sticks and hair. Not a trace....they even cleaned the canvas dog seat cover. Nick and his colleagues are smiley, kind and helpful. This is a hard job, and everyone gives it their all.

They are the worst litterers, having no respect for people’s cars and the damage they do to them.

I recently visited what I can only describe as the worst car wash experience of my life. Initially, the price quoted was £25, which seemed reasonable. However, upon deciding to pay with my card, I was shocked to find that the charge was inexplicably raised to £40.

The exterior wash was passable at best, but it was the interior cleaning—or the lack thereof—that left me utterly dismayed. It became quickly apparent that the effort put into cleaning the inside of my car was minimal. The car boot appeared as if it hadn't been touched, still littered with debris and dirt. The booster seat wasn't even moved an inch, indicating a lack of thoroughness, with the areas underneath and around it left completely uncleaned.

To charge £40 for a service that clearly didn't pay attention to the basic principles of car cleaning is beyond disappointing. This experience has left a sour taste, and I strongly advise against using this car wash. It's not worth the money, nor the time, considering the subpar service provided.

Arrived having booked a £120 full valet. Was asked for £170 if I wanted the full works. As far as I can see the £120 IS the full works. Declined, suspecting a rip-off with some excuse about additional protection which I cannot find on the website.
Not cleaned properly, exhaust pipes tops dirty, s,eary sunroof not dried properly. 2.75 hours seems ample time to get the job right.
Then I discovered scratches on the rear onside wing that were not there when the car was left. I pointed this out to the staff member but he chose to not understand, very likely didn't want to understand with some ruse of poor English. Scratches that are going to cost me money to put right because I contacted customer service on the day via their contact form, offered them photos and not so much as an acknowledgement of the complaint and clearly no intention of addressing the issue.

Left my 2 car seats to be steam cleaned. One was a Doona so they told me they would charge me more because they clean it as a buggy (so the wheels and everything else). When I picked it up they actually didn't do it and they only cleaned the fabric. Took it back and they did it there and then and said they missed it. All in all not impressed with how they were cleaned.

I went and took my car to be washed Saturday 26th August this morning at 11am I deliberately went early to make sure that I didn't have to queue cause I know the car wash can be quite busy I wanted a good job done on my car I paid for a Mini Valet cost about £20 I had an appointment after having the car washed so I was in a little bit of a hurry but I didn't tell them that, the car wash was totally empty there was only one Van that was leaving when I arrived there was no other cars in the car wash I paid for my wash I had to sit and wait for them to come and clean the car because they were sitting round doing nothing and they were sitting so far back they couldn't even see the car I had to say where is everybody and then people started coming out from behind corners they watched the my phone rang I was on the phone while they were hoovering the car I could see there was a part of the car just near the bottom edge that hadn't been cleaned quite well the guy that was on my left hand side was super fast you know there was no way he did a really good job but the car was reasonably clean on the outside got in the car still on the phone when they finished I even rummaged and found some change to give them a tip I didn't have time to check the car I just had to get in and go, when I came back from my appointment and got into the car I could see that the passenger front seat just wasn't clean at all I looked down where the handbrake is all along there just hadn't been cleaned along the side of the front seats hadn't been hovered there was crumbs they hadn't touched where the cup holder is was full of debris they hadn't touched it looked in the back that was basically clean there was 4 people cleaning the inside of my car I think maybe one of them might have done a 1/2 decent job And that was a person cleaning in the front drivers seat that was the only place that was properly cleaned I won't be returning disappointed and disgusted cos now I have to go and have the car hovered again

American Car Wash Highgate have damaged my car twice. Staff never stop talking to each other to pay attention to the job they are meant to execute professionally. Damaged a leather seat by dragging hoover over it and cutting the leather. Should have soft brush end. This was followed by one person holding the power wash directly on my reverse camera (while he was chatting to the other guy) for over a minute. This damaged the camera. Cost £390. They do not respond. Never going to them again.

Avoid At All Cost Not Good As Before, They Rush The Job And Dont Clean The Car Properly Go Elsehwere If You Want A Good Clean Car!

Very rude. I wanted a mini valet. I was told I couldn't have one and I had to upgrade for another £10 to a mini valet and spray polish. I said I didn't want the spray polish. They started shouting at me and told to pay the extra or leave. I told them to stop shouting at me and reluctantly paid the extra £10. I will never return.

Paid 120 for a full valet. Car came back looking just as dirty. Awful. Worth 40 tops
