Fantastic dealing with a moving company without any brokers involved. Beat move ever! Our driver Charlie and Charles were exceptional!

American Van Lines moved us early in 2025 and they did a great job with everything -- disassembling stuff, packing, unpacking, reassembling stuff. Their scheduling was a bit uncertain. We waited several days on the packers, and although we drove 10 days cross-country to our destination, we had to wait two weeks for the truck to arrive. But I guess that may usually be the case with a long-distance move. The service, all-in-all, was excellent.

The guys that packed were GREAT. They Knew exactly what to do and how to do it efficiently. Everything was timely and the delivery went smoothly. There were no problems, no breaks, no losses. Excellent!

Great pricing, truck arrived on the date promised and delivery was also spot on. Driver and loaders were professional and friendly. Nothing was damaged in this 1,250 mile move.

The service was great starting from Karen at the beginning talking with William Gomez and Dan S. Directing me on the move. Zack and Toby were great they are both an asset to your company. I would recommend American Van Lines to my family and friends

On time, protected furniture, careful, delivered on time, and reassembled everything perfectly.

I am very dissatisfied with my experience with American Van Lines. I booked primarily because I was told by the sales representative that delivery within 3–5 days would “not be a problem”, and that although a wider delivery window would appear on the contract, my items would likely arrive within the first few days. This was not the case.

Communication throughout the process was poor and disorganized. My name was misspelled repeatedly despite clearly spelling it out on the phone, and it remains incorrect in their records. When I contacted different representatives with questions, I was repeatedly referred to someone else, with no clear ownership of my move.

On pickup day, I was given an ETA of 12–3 PM, but the movers did not arrive until 7 PM, with minimal communication. One of my mattresses was also forgotten. During the move, customer service representative Deanna was consistently dismissive and appeared annoyed when I asked basic questions about delivery timing and mover location.

I am a single mother with a toddler who had just started a new job, and we were without our belongings for two weeks. I never received an apology, and responses to my questions often took more than 24 hours.

The only positive part of this experience was the actual moving crew—Carlos and his colleague—who were kind and professional. Unfortunately, based on the lack of communication, accuracy, and reliability, I would not recommend American Van Lines, especially to anyone needing delivery by a specific date or who values clear communication.

Update 2.3.2026: This company continues to harass me. They stated in writing that they admit they were unable to provide me with service, and offered a full refund, ONLY IF I signed a non-disclosure (gag order) and removed my negative reviews about them. I called them out for "extortion" since the main point was that they admitted to providing no service. Since then, it has been a series of ongoing threats. This company is run by horrible people. Look at the BBB reviews. That will tell you everything you need to know. I was not alone in this experience with them.

Absolute fraudsters. This company literally STOLE $5200 from me, and did absolutely nothing DO NOT TRUST A WORD THEY SAY.

A perfect move. All items were securely wrapped. Movers were very easy to work with.

They moved everything so quickly and efficiently and I'm on the 3rd floor of a condo building with no elevator. I was really impressed with how quickly they moved everything out and they made it look so easy! They did a great job of moving all my items into a storage unit also. From the minute I called to book the movers until they finished moving every item into my storage unit, it was a smooth and easy process. There was great communication throughout the whole process as well. Thanks so much for making my move so easy! I'll definitely use them again in the future if I need to move and will continue to recommend them to everyone I know!
