I originally signed up for Amelia to launch a summer camp but due to unforeseen circumstances we wont be able to move forward with the camp. We were planning to launch it next summer instead though as we've got everything ready to launch and were planning on using Amelia to do so.
I've been trying now for two weeks to cancel my account. Each email I send is met with a response that a "customer success" agent will reach out. It has been two weeks now and I still havent heard from someone. I'm about to get billed AGAIN for something I no longer need.
Pretty sure at this point that their strategy is to postpone cancellations until they can milk as many billings with unhappy customers as they can.
Brilliant way to burn bridges and insure that next year we'll be looking elsewhere for another platform to use. As a member of a wide network of community initiatives I'll be making sure to warn as many people to avoid this platform as I can.
Lousy scammers! They sent me an email offering to help me renew my soon-to-expire credit card. When I checked with my credit card company, they said it was not legitimate and had no connection with them! I was not satisfied to simply relegate their email to the Spam folder - I had to report them here, too!
Bad policies in relation to account management. I become very frustrated when companies do not allow me to delete my data/account. Amilia has a policy to not allow account deletion for 7 years if you have done any transactions with them. Supposedly for legal reasons, but appears to be more a cover for trying to force you to keep an account to stay relevant.
If 0 was available, I would have awarded Amilia 0 stars. Everything about it from the user interface, to event selection, to billing is far beyond terrible. In fact, so bad that it damages the organizations that use this amateurish excuse for "organizational management" software.
Honestly if I could give it a 0 star review I would. I made a reservation with their website, and the website deleted my reservation. Their user interface is awful to say the least, it’s super complex and doesn’t make sense. In summary, this website is garbage and I hope that it gets taken down because of how trash it is.
I gave it 1 star because I HAD to. It took 5 tries to get an account activated. Later when I tried to get in, Amilia did not recognize my password. Whatever money the city of Lewisville is paying for this app is money ill spent!
Impossible to get a refund from a cancelled event. Impossible to reach curtomer support.
Amilia has terrible run-time issues and unresponsive, then downright hostile customer service. The company only has 65 employees after years in business and their only investor is their CEO -- that should be telling. Amilia is no longer in Beta so they have no excuse; they should be working to resolve their substantial SaaS platform functionality issues by now.
I raised valid concerns on Amilia message boards and via their social media accounts for one of our clients for DAYS, trying to get resolutions to their platform functionality issues and the only answer I received was a hateful, arrogant message via Linkedin from Amilia's CMO. Shocking! Amilia doesn't understand the very basic tenets of customer service and their event registration platform -- to quote the hundreds of complaints our client has received in the past few days -- "sucks."
Try EventBrite, Attendify, even a WordPress plug-in. Avoid Amilia at all costs, unless you are willing to anger and lose your user base.
We can see the benefits of this program but I do not think its intended use is for the summer camp industry we are trying to make things flow as smoothly as possible for our customers however there are just some things that will not work for our use. We would love for customers to be able to make partial payments ( not recurring) but more of a deposit like structure and then pay off their balance when they can.
Many troubles to start - misunderstanding on BOTH sides. Amilia didn't understand just how computer illiterate we really were, and we didn't understand how unintuitive some of their operations were.
As we have worked through a lot of this we've generated massive amounts of unexpected work for both of us. Hopefully that is getting better and we'll do better for next year.
The Amelia team has always been quick to respond to my inquiries. They have taken every concern and worked with me to solve any issues. Great work Amelia!!

So far so good. We have been with Amilia for a few months now. You definitely get what you pay for....meaning nothing more and nothing less. The system has worked incredibly 90% of the time. Although some of my clients have shared that it freezes from time to time during registration and it moves slow during different times of the day (depending upon how much traffic is on Amilia). The system is pretty efficient I must admit and it enables you to create as many promo codes in a matter of seconds (AWESOME SAUCE!!!). The flip side to a service that is less expensive is: 1. Mediocre customer service 2. I programmed everything myself (took about 1.5 hrs) 3. Issues with system are dealt with through email (not very warm) although they did respond within 24hrs Mon-Fri 4. Business closes at 5:00 Eastern and it's closed on the weekends. But if you are looking for a pretty modern registration software that is very user friendly and easy to pull all types of reports and you're on a budget, then I would definitely consider Amilia. Yes it SUCKS that they don't have live operators to talk to and they close at 5:00, but once the system is up an running it is pretty much on autopilot which will save you TIME. Despite their short comings like ALL software registration companies have, I really do looooooove the product! Hope this was helpful.

Amilia is a really solid registration tool. It doesn't crash during peak times, has a good user interface for customers and is pretty straightforward to operate from an administration perspective. Customer service is terrific - concerns are addressed quickly and thoroughly. User documentation definitely needs improvement, but telephone or email support is available. Product is affordable for start-ups and not-for-profits. Overall - recommended.
