I have recently moved into my Anchor flat. Even though there were some outstanding issues that needed to be resolved. My location manager Luca has been fantastic. I feel absolutely at home already. Anchor provide a great homely experience.
would not recommend Anchor independent living especially St.Aidans House, North Shields, it is like living in a prison.

The Manager is excellent. She is welcoming, helpful and efficient. I've only given 4 stars because I'm disappointed that Anchor wouldn't replace the bathroom flooring so I paid for it to be done. I think this should have been done for hygiene reasons as the flooring was certainly not new.

So far all I can say is that dealing with Anchor in general has been very good. Every time I dealt with a member of staff they all have been extremely professional, helpful and patient. I also like to add that again so far I feel happy,safe and relaxed.

Absolutely disgusting even the mention of that company gets my blood boiling Now they are charging me a months rent when I haven’t even stepped into the place The room given to was all smelly and I am told that there was a toilet leak and the place was flooded This was not said to me when I was asked to sign the paper work by the location manager on the 20/5/26 and found all this out from the other residents I got a private builder to have a look at the floors and basically he was swinging on the floor boards underneath and he gave me a bill of nearly 6500 to fix it all There is a bath tub which I saw but I thought when I move in I will change it to shower but got told after signing up by other residents thst that it had to stay as a bath tub & it can’t be changed Now all this should have been made clear to me by the staff rather than the residents Appalling customer service so I terminated my tenancy a week later on the 27/5/2026 which so far has cost me near enough £1200 in short I am soo disappointed at every thing the way I was cornered to sign by her saying it is this or nothing as she threatened as she would put it down as third refusal I would not recommend this company to anyone as I didn’t find them at all helpful I am down by nearly £1200 for choosing them and for no fault of mine I wrote a complaint email to head office regarding all this 7 days ago and I was told today it hasn’t even been logged on their system
Anchor made my tenancy sign up pleasurable and helpful. They went through everything I needed to know and were thorough from beginning to end.
