Moribund cash grab

They attempt to charge your card after a trial but don't reply to emails. Website is full of places 'coming soon' that never come, so just a cynical marketing gimmick to make it look like they're still negotiating new clients. I asked them for timescales multiple times and they never replied. Company seems to basically be defunct/non-responsive but still charging for zero service levels. And the search function is a catastrophe. Basically: a total waste of time. You could walk into just about any of these places for free, buy a coffee and work there.

It’s a scam

Unfortunately, cannot give zero stars… It’s a joke - I came to Tribe hotel in CW and even though I booked a place, everything was taken by hotel residents. Canceled my subscription!

Do not use this company

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR ANY REASON!!!! AndCo are a bunch of crooks - looks like I'm not the only one who has had an issue cancelling their subscription. Tried cancelling on their website but it errored and told me to email them. First email sent September 2024, with no response. I foolishly assumed it would just be cancelled. Realised in April they were still taking payment. I emailed them again (using all 3 email addresses that I could find and messaged them on LinkedIn) but again no response other than the auto reply. I tried calling, took ages to find a number and then no answer. Thankfully I asked my bank to block payment because they have tried to take payment again today. I have emailed them for the 4th time today. They owe me £140 and I have said I want a refund or I will go to small claims. I'm not holding my breath but I will take it to small claims.

UPDATE: After posting this review, AndCo have now refunded the charges and (hopefully) cancelled my subscription. They did the right thing in the end, its just a pity they seem to "miss" all the emails about cancellations. I have upgraded my review from 1 star to 2 star but I still wouldn't recommend given the amount of hassle.

Shockingly Poor Service

Members need to call or email to cancel. I decided to call, naively thinking they would cancel, only to realise they continued charging me for an additional year.

At the beginning of the month, I asked the co-founder Tom via email to please cancel my membership and refund the amount. He acknowledged my first email but has since ignored all other emails. Fortunately, I've told my bank to cancel my direct debit, otherwise they'd continue ignoring emails and calls, and sneakily taking customers' money.

Absolute scam. AVOID.

Absolute scam of a place. I have been charged for months even though I emailed a billion times as per their request to cancel the membership. Now the 'Billing history' section of my account has conveniently disappeared and I have received no refund. Have blocked further payments via my bank. AVOID!!!!

Disgusting. My Bank is aware and I will also be reporting this site to Stripe

Disgusting. Very similar to the other reviews. Ignored my request to cancel mail, no response or reply and took the money a week later anyway. Monzo have been very understanding, evidence checked all my communication with them and refunded me immediately. As an extra measure of security, Monzo have also forbidden any payments to be paid out to Andco.life ever again and Im glad they did. Sure enough, another 30 day payment request was just refused by Monzo. Grubby and unscrupulous. AVOID

Disappointing customer service

Disappointing customer service, condescending tone, would not recommend this company.

I have been charged for the past 5 months even though I have only used their service for a couple days. I emailed to explain this and that I did the free trial but did not proceed with using their service.

The response I got was that it was my fault. I should have cancelled and there will be no refund (at this point I honestly don't remember whether I did or didn't cancel but I do remember only using the service for a couple days in November 2023, which they can clearly and easily verify on the back end of the service).

Sadly I would not recommend dealing with this company. It also turns out that a lot of locations they offer are free anyway so you are being charged for something that should be free.

So, in summary, I did a free trial, used it for a couple days, then was charged £20 per month for the past 5 months. No gesture of partial refund offered even though they can see I have not used their services and haven't logged into my account in months. The only way I realised they were charging me is when I randomly looked in my bank account and saw a transaction for £20 that I didn't recognise. All the customer service team does is enforce the contracts with no understanding or kindness towards their customers.

How very disappointing.

I can not cancel my membership easily

I can not cancel my membership easily. They have my credit card details and I'm without internet from tomorrow morning, so I presume without my interaction/permission to complete cancellation, they will take money from my account while I'm in transit?

I was hoping that I could cancel the day before I travel, which happens to tie into the same time my renewal is due.

Their current process requires you to have to talk to them over their chat in office hours during the day and only on their webpage, not in the mobile app, and manually inform them that you wish to cancel, instead of it being an option that you can click to cancel.

I was on their free trial period, but seeing how difficult it is to cancel, I'm unlikely to trust their processes in the near future.

Update (2023-03-12): So I'm back at a laptop and have been able to go over my emails, and in response, they did cancel my membership in time and were pretty friendly about it, however I still I would like to be in charge of that process myself as a self-serve service (i.e I sign up myself, I should be able to sign out myself)

General feedback:
- Limited venues between 6pm to 8pm on a weekday, therefore I can not work on my side-hussle/get me rich projects.
- The app's lack of available venues on Sundays can be a source of confusion, at least I found it to be. During use on any day other than Sunday, the app behaves differently, making it unclear that venues are not available on Sundays. I eventually worked out that if I manually filter out Sundays, I managed to navigate around this issue. Improvements to make this limitation more obvious would be helpful for sure.
