Had my in-depth initial assessment with Mr Anderson and was booked a few weeks later for the removal of my cataracts. It was a momentous moment after the operation to be able to see. The staff were polite and courteous and helpful and the operation was quick and the aftercare was amazing. Mr Anderson is amazing his knowledge is never ending and he can relate to your individual needs. I felt ant ease at all times and assured I was under the best care at all times. It is the best decision I ever made under the care of the best.

All fears allayed from the off. Lens optioned fully discussed and final choice left with patient. Procedure fully explained, responded to my concerns with regard to local for eye surgery and a general was used. Spoke with Mr Anderson and Anaesthetist prior to procedure and pre and post procedure care was exemplary

I had exceptional care from Mr. Anderson with an excellent outcome. I had explained that I was mildly claustrophobic. Mr. Anderson explained how he could accommodate my concerns which alleviated my worries and Indeed I had no problems at all during my cataract operation. My experience with Anderson Eye Care was very good. Mr Anderson was charming and helpful and the Nuffield Wessex hospital was excellent and all the staff were lovely. The end result from my cataract procedure was amazing and I now have perfect vision and no longer need glasses.
It was a bit of a nuisance and added expense to have to leave Jersey for the procedure but the end result outweighed the inconvenience.
One small thing that would have been helpful would have been to have had a bit more information on the procedure and exactly what was being put in my eyes. I did a fair amount of research myself to find out more about it and I learnt a lot from the internet. However, there might be some patients who are totally unprepared or may not understand what is involved.
My overall experience was wonderful and my thanks go to Mr Anderson and his team. My new vision is life changing.

After years of struggling with reading glasses and not getting on with varifocals, I considered the option of lens replacement.
David Anderson was highly recommended by a family friend, who is a retired ophthalmic surgeon, so I knew I was in expert hands.
David listened to my issues and daily lifestyle and offered the best solution so that I would be free of glasses. He has a lovely calm and friendly manner, and knowing he's extremely knowledgeable and experienced put me at ease.
Having said that, I was extremely nervous about the procedure and initially thought I would need sedation, but as the date approached I changed my mind and I'm pleased I did, as it was completely painless with just the drops and very quick. I had both eyes done at the same time, yet I was able to walk out of the hospital an hour later.
I'm now delighted with my new vision, and haven't picked up a pair of glasses since, apart from my sunglasses.
If you're considering lens replacement I highly recommend David Anderson and his team.

Mr Anderson and all the staff were personable and professional which leads to a calm environment and confidence emanates from that. Everything was explained before it was carried out and there were plenty of opportunities to ask questions. The facilities were modern and clean.
The procedure was quick (about 15-20mins/eye) and completely pain free.

All your well-wishers need an update, and you send them a text. Yesterday, texting required +4.5 prescription glasses now it needs no glasses and it’s only an hour after the procedure.

From your room back to your room is less than 45 minutes. Less than an hour later and you are going home.
Before during and after the operation, the pain score on a scale of 1 to 5 was zero.
The most surprising thing was that you can always see. Only the light he has you focusing on, but you can see it.
Another surprising thing was I could blink. Obviously, I could not blink the eye being operated on, but my mind thought I did and there was no discomfort.

The whole team is well practiced in making it stress free and I felt pampered throughout.

If you are going to do it eventually then do it sooner rather than later you will not regret it.

I was extremely nervous about having my double cateract/lense replacement surgery but Mr Anderson was recommended to me because of his empathy and understanding of the difficulties of being highly myopic and from our first consultation I was not disappointed.
The level of care and understanding was exceptional and Mr Anderson took the time to listen to my concerns and then explain how my particular issues could be addressed. He was straight forward, clear and reassuring.
My vision after the procedures has been significantly improved and the whole process has been life changing with a dramatic reduction in my vision prescription.

Mr Anderson having first examined my eyes explained in simple terms what my options were and reassured be that the op would be painless. As a result I chose to have both eyes done at the same time. Having now had the op he was not wrong, totally painless and no need to be anaesthetised just local drops in each eye

David is a sympathetic listener aiming for the best outcome for his patients.
He’s given me perfect vision with trifocal lenses overcoming bad long sightedness and cataracts.
The unexpected bonus was restoring my balance to that of my youth. I had put my increasing doderiness down to age but when I went for a walk on Day 3 after the op I found that my old surefootedness had returned. This was also reflected in my driving, I now know exactly where the car is on the road and my confidence in driving accurately day and night, has returned.

My vision was severely impaired from birth due to high axial myopia (-12+) and astigmatism, and cataracts only worsened the situation. Mr. David Anderson was recommended to me, and he suggested IQ lens implants.
