Bristol Swap

I thoroughly enjoyed the Bristol swap on 26/04/26! It was my second APS event & I much preferred the venue this time. It was more accessible in terms of location & parking, plus there was a lot more space inside. Even when it was busy & everyone was looking around at each other’s tables, you could still step away into a quieter area if you needed to.

I thought it was great value for money & the Lechuza & M3D samples were very welcome. It was nice to see Plant Studio there too.

The only thing I could suggest for future events would potentially be some more talks/demos, but the ones that we had were fab.

Thank you again to Lisa for a really fun day. I came home with a selection of new plants that I’m excited about & met some wonderful fellow planty people too. Can’t wait for the next one!

Necessary!!!

Another Plant Swap is such a gem. Where else in London can you meet a room full of people who are just as obsessed with plants as you are? the perfect excuse to get together, geek out, and go home with something new for your collection. Highly recommend to anyone who loves plants and good company.
Ps: The UK tour is about to start :)

2 Wishes: Food & Location that’s easier to get to

This was my second plant swap event with you guys but I think with a different person running it this time. The event itself was lovely. My only 2 points of feedback would be that for a ‘London’ event, being in Clapton is not super convenient for a lot of people to get to. It’s not on a rail or main tube line so most people have to have awkward journeys whilst carrying plants. Especially those coming from outside a London. The location for me was quite a barrier which is why I didn’t get a ticket until pretty last minute as I was 50/50 about of it would be worth changing trains 4 times to get there. If you had other ‘London’ events in different locations then it allows people to pick the one best for them but otherwise something more central or closer to a main station would make this more accessible. Secondly, I really wish there were food available! With a start time of 12 until 5:30, and obviously travel prior to this, it’s hard to get a good meal in before, I was half expecting to be able to buy food at the venue. I saw a few people left the event to go and buy food (and coffee!) from other places and then coming back. This meant that you couldn’t always find the person you’re looking to swap with. I personally got so hungry that I left early at 3:30 and missed the talks and the raffle because I needed to go and eat and there wasn’t exactly a burger van outside or anything suuuper close. So to summarise, lovely event I just wish there was food, and a location easier to travel to

Hi Alice,
Thank you so much for coming back to another swap and for taking the time to leave such thoughtful feedback. I’m really glad you enjoyed the event overall.
Just to clarify, I’ve actually been running Another Plant Swap myself since it started in 2022, but depending on the day I sometimes have volunteers helping out around the room, which might have been what you noticed.
The venue location is always something I try to balance carefully. Finding spaces in London that are large enough, affordable, and happy to host community events like this can be quite challenging. Unfortunately the train strike that weekend also made travelling more complicated for many people, which sadly wasn’t something I could influence.
Food is a really helpful point too. We did have snacks and soft drinks available at the bar, and there are also cafés and restaurants less than a five minute walk from the venue. Because of licensing restrictions at the space we can’t always have external food vendors inside, but I completely understand that for a longer event having more substantial food options would be helpful, so it’s something I’ll keep in mind for future swaps.
Thanks again for coming along and sharing your feedback. It really does help shape how the swaps continue to improve.

The March 2026 APS was my second plant…

The March 2026 APS was my second plant swap, and it was a fab experience. The outcome of a lot of work was a fun, welcoming and joyous event of plant-lovers sharing space, plants and laughter. The event itself was really well organised with great traders and activities.

Super Interesting

I had heard about Another Plant Swap before, but I didn’t imagine what it would be like. I helped organising the event, so I had the experience of seeing everything from beginning to the end. I was surprised by how cool, interesting, dynamic, and fun it is, and the people have great energy. The event is very well planned to accommodate everyone. I will definitely attend the next one. I highly recommend it.

Super friendly people. Nice to trade excess plants for new interesting ones, all without discussing money or worrying too much about 'fair' trades.
