I’m sorry to hear that the item you purchased, Philips CorePro PL-C LED 6.9W 700lm - 830 Warm White | Replaces 18W, is not compatible with your ballast.
On our website, below the product description, we provide both general and technical information. This includes details stating that the product is compatible with a conventional (EM) ballast and Mains (AC) with starter systems.
Further down, there is also a compatibility list that allows customers to check whether the product will work with their EM ballast. I appreciate that you may not have seen this, but all relevant information is available on our website to help customers make an informed decision before purchasing.
You are, of course, welcome to return the order for a refund. Please note, however, that the product will work if you bypass the ballast and connect it directly to the mains.

Why penalise NI?
I initially ordered through Any-Lamp.uk for delivery to Northern Ireland but the delivered price was prohibitively high. So I checked Any-Lamp.ie for delivery to County Donegal and the delivered price was less than half. The purchased items are installed and looking good.

I apologise for any inconvenience or confusion you may have experienced when placing an order from our UK and Republic of Ireland websites.
The reason for the price discrepancies in shipping is primarily due to different VAT and tax rules. Any-Lamp.uk charges UK VAT (currently 20%), and for shipping to Northern Ireland, there are special rules under the Northern Ireland Protocol.
Any-Lamp.ie charges Irish VAT (currently 23%), but since Donegal is in the Republic of Ireland, it is treated as a domestic order. This can sometimes make the delivered price lower, as there are no cross-border handling fees.
There can also be differences in pricing between the two markets, and of course, currency differences (Euro vs. Sterling) can play a role. We price differently in different markets to reflect local competition or customer expectations. A product may be cheaper on Any-Lamp.ie because the Irish market is more competitive or because shipping costs to Ireland are partially absorbed.
Even though the geographic distance is nearly the same, the pricing difference is mostly due to tax, shipping agreements, and cross-border accounting rules. It is not unusual for cross-border shopping within the British Isles to result in such discrepancies.
