Processing payments into your ANZ account is slow compared to other banks. Better off banking elsewhere.

ANZ very professional and prompt
ANZ very professional and prompt. My senior personal banker Trisha Blair exceeded my expectations. Thank you. Keep up the great work.
Fraud bank
Fraud bank. Never go to that bank if you wanna save your hard working money
Quite possibly the most unhelpful…
Quite possibly the most unhelpful customer service ever! I went in to open my daughter bank account. Teller Lindsay I think was so rude , told me to go away my daughter (14) must be with me, I needed proof of address and passport and appointment, so I did all of the above , came back and the same lady persisted to tell me I didn’t have a appointment and it takes a minimum of 3 weeks to get another appointment I’m incredibly busy and all I needed was another bank account, she was literally smirking like she was happy to tell me she wasn’t going to help , I have been with and for 20yrs , I will be leaving
My phone conversation with a Home loan…
My phone conversation with a Home loan consultant discussing advice and opinions regarding buying out property was most beneficial.
I had more clarification as per discussion on certain questions.
ANZ customer service does no where…
ANZ customer service does no where close to what it meant to . Very unprofessional . It shouldn’t be operating . I have ruined my holidays just trying to call the bank
sent bank mail online banking asking…
sent bank mail online banking asking for floating mortgage rate
they replied with a lot of security rubbish
I replied back saying I only want your floating rate suggesting another more helpful person answer and they blocked my internet banking what a terrible bank with worse staff shame on you
Thumbs down to ANZ CE on capital gains tax.
Not impressed with ANZ's chief executive Antonia Watson weighing in on capital gains tax. She is sitting on a fat salary making politically charged comments whilst the bank is siphoning off people hard earned income in fees.
Everthing is wrong
Everthing is wrong, they only care what they can get out of any depositor or client
Property investors should steer clear of ANZ
Property investors beware. ANZ is undermining you by lobbying for the dreaded capital gains tax on RNZ today. Take your mortgages to a bank that does not work against your interests.
Beware of predatory banking practices
Beware of predatory banking practices! Broke fixed rates over the years with anz and understand they need to recoup losses when the interest rate has reduced. They charged me break fees on a 1% loan when I repaid my mortgage as I was leaving the bank. And refused to raise a complaint until I contacted the ombudsman. Unfair and predatory behaviour. Bank elsewhere.

Confusing message that I thought meant that an online booking I made was not accepted , apparently not
Poor service
This company highlights a constraint on TrustPilot’s reviews, there is no method to assign a negative star. Poor on communication and following instructions; less than stellar.
Help centre was no help at all
My account was locked while on vacation overseas. I notified the bank of my travel dates prior to leaving. The transaction which caused the account to lock was a genuine transaction performed by myself. No warning was given through my app or email account. I understand this was activated as a security precaution which would have been fine, except the communication method recommended by the bank to contact the bank to confirm it, was through the app which was now locked. The next option was reverse charges to an operator via landline which wasn't an option because there aren't any landlines available in the area we are staying. Our communication is all through digital apps. Emailing ANZ was fruitless. They always message with a generic repetitive message. After a couple of days of research, I was able to find a digital way of ringing the ANZ help desk. Now I thought this was going to be the end of the saga. But, this in itself was a stressful process. I had no idea what my security password was after being with ANZ for decades. I previously had no need to use it so it was long forgotten. The next question was exactly how many years I had my account with ANZ. Wow! 30, 35, 37, 40 years? Receptionist said what's your final answer? Wrong! Next question. Where did I last use my credit card. I last used this card at least 6 weeks previous before leaving Australia. I use it at many retail outlets every week when back home in Australia. I don't have access to my account, therefore, there is no way I have the ability to pinpoint my last transaction. The next instruction from the so called help centre was to go to the closest ANZ branch and provide the 100 point identity check. I said that we have at least another 6 weeks and that it is extremely important that I have access to my finances in this account so where will I find an ANZ branch in Koh Samui Thailand? Answer! Do it when I get back home to Australia! I pleaded that it would be easy to send a OTP security code to my phone number and/or email address. I would then be able to confirm with this OTP. Answer! This case is closed! Closing down a persons finances while overseas with out prior warning has to be one of the lowest acts by a financial institution. When security is used to prevent the account holder from using their own finances, the system has failed! Extremely poor service ANZ! Time for myself, wife, family and friends to reconsider another bank.
I just went to bank ample of times to…
I just went to bank ample of times to open new bank account but every time I came back with the new document demand. I don't know why they cant tell me in one time that what documents are required. I am an international student and it is really frustrated and hard for me. Because of this I had to let off my one job just because I don't have the bank account. I don't know what kind of pathetic services ANZ is providing to international students. I came To ANZ just because of the positive experience but MY EXPERIENCE WITH ANZ BANK IS WORSTTTT
Terrible online phone service
Terrible online phone service, with a computer that tells you what to say. Which would be helpful if it didn't interrupt me every 3 second while.im trying to explain the problem.
Also not enough specific options over the phone.
Would likely take a whole day to sort out your problems.
Not working for most Kiwis -- they are highly profit oriented and work only in the favour of their shareholders
This is the bank transferring huge profit over the Tasman -- when the OCR goes up they raise the home loan within 12 hours, and when the rate goes down, they wait up to a week. They raised the rates by 30 basis points 2 months back and the lower is by 10 basis point -- pretending that they lower the rate. OCR dropped by 25 basis points but no reduction in 6 months rates. Floating rate still 8.49% -- over 3% margin -- HUGE!!!!
Most unhelpful bank with the most unhelpful staff
No matter the situation this bank doesn't want to help. I have my wages through ANZ, my kiwisaver and as a vero customer my car insurance and they have audacity to treat me like some homeless person. Iv been a customer since 2018, I think I'm at my limit and I'll be concidering a move to a bank that meets my needs.
I have been customer with ANZ for last…
I have been customer with ANZ for last 3 years. There services has been worsening for last 1-2 years, longer waiting times on call, sometimes been pushed around on call to reach correct person. After few emails to feedback about experience, they try to find problem with the customer rather than admitting their mistake.
Damaged Notes
Came to your ATM machine in takanini...and asked for $60 withdrawal...received, however your notes that you feed through the machine hustling out broken notes, damaged notes as if they are valued money and are not...
Giving out damaged notes at an ATM machine ...is unlawful
Poor desk customer service at ANZ Willis at Wellington
Poor customer service. There was a long queue, and there is staff photo copy behind the counter. We approached her to ask if we need to queue or not since we have an appointment. She kept interrupting me multiple times that I could not even get words out of my mouth. She kept repeated to me, you need to queue, you need to queue. She didn’t even let me speak. I am very disappointment with the manners, and the lack of staff. At least just give a quick direction. I understand she is with a cosmetic but I told her just a quick question. But didn’t even let me speak. I went to other banks before, never happens. This happened on the 31st July 2024 l 10:50 am, a short blond bob hair. I wish I was treated better with respect that I could speak or ask someone. Instead, repeatedly tried to shut me up by speak over me while she was standing there waiting for the photocopying paper. She could just answer the question. Her customer was on the other end. There was no one at the front there you can ask where to wait for the appointment. When it was my turn to serve me, I confused her, that I only wanted to ask you a quick question, and you didn’t tell me finish my sentence. She repeatedly said I told you I was with a customer…multiple times, very unapologetic, rude and obnoxious. She just refused to listen anything I have to say. This is blonde bob hair cut lady is their front customer server, and this is her manner. I role of customer service is to help customer, or is not her role to have selective hearing and try to stop people from talking. Rude! This happen on the 31st July 2024 at 10:50 am, at ANZ Willis street, Wellington, the main branch.
