I’d give one review 6 doors used there dry oil as they told me to ,to keep my guarantee to find rust on all the locks I used it on sent them photos said I’ve used it too often and too much! What a joke!!!!!

I’m sorry to hear about your experience and appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback.

As the manufacturer of the euro cylinder itself, I would like to clarify a few points. After reviewing the photos and information provided, our assessment was that the marks appearing on the door frame were likely the result of excess lubricant carrying existing corrosion from other door components, rather than originating from the cylinder itself.

In these situations, applying a large amount of lubricant or using it too frequently can cause existing residue or corrosion from surrounding hardware to run down the door frame. For this reason, we recommended applying a smaller amount of lubricant and using it less frequently to ensure the cylinder continues to operate smoothly without excess lubricant building up.

Based on the information provided, the issue did not appear to be related to a manufacturing fault with the euro cylinder and therefore falls outside the scope of the product warranty.

We also send a maintenance email approximately six months after purchase outlining the recommended lubrication frequency and quantity, and this guidance is included within the product documentation and terms.

We’re sorry that we weren’t able to assist further on this occasion, but we do appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback.

Excellent service

I would just like to thank you for the support and excellent service I received regarding the keys which had broken from the time I called the office on the 9th and explain the problems I was having with the keys with plastic tops had cracked and broken you solve this and replace with a set . I was updated through the process and very quick delivery excellent service throughout.

Worst keys ever apecs rubbish

Extremely disappointing experience and security failings

My experience with APECS has been extremely disappointing. I ordered two replacement keys, but the DPD courier delivered them to an address that wasn’t mine. This was a serious security breach that has left me and my family feeling unsafe in our own home.
APECS assured me that an “urgent investigation” had been launched, but after two months, there was still no resolution or meaningful update. Their eventual response was to send me two more keys “as a gesture of goodwill,” which completely failed to address the core issue, the fact that my original keys were delivered to someone else. I asked for a new lock to restore our security, but this was refused.
APECS in their response suggested that I should have had the keys delivered to a different address when ordering and said that this is recommended. However, this is not a satisfactory resolution, I’m also not sure exactly where these should have been delivered to with no family or close friends living nearby? The responsibility for secure delivery lies with the company, and this matter should have been resolved much more quickly and in a way that properly addressed the security risk they created.
The whole experience has been frustrating, time consuming and handled with very little empathy or urgency. I felt that APECS did not take my feedback on board, nor did they fully appreciate the seriousness of the situation or the distress it caused.
I would not recommend APECS based on how this issue was managed.

Hi Claire, We’re very sorry to hear how distressing this experience has been, and we completely understand your concern about security. Please be assured that we take every instance of lost or misdelivered keys extremely seriously.
After reviewing your case in full, your order was dispatched on 3rd August and marked as delivered by DPD on 5th August. Unfortunately, this delivery was made to an incorrect address - an error made by DPD.
The issue was first reported by you on 2nd September, almost four weeks after the original delivery. At that stage, both DPD’s and our own reporting windows for loss or damage had passed, which unfortunately limited what could be done through their claims process.
Even so, we wanted to help resolve the situation as best we could and arranged for replacement keys to be issued at no cost to you. As the manufacturer of the original product (rather than the retailer), we aren’t able to offer a full replacement of your lock(s), but we did our utmost to resolve the situation within our control.
For security reasons, we always recommend that key deliveries are sent to an alternative address - such as a trusted family member, friend, or workplace - rather than the property the keys relate to. We understand this wasn’t possible in your case, but this measure helps prevent exactly the type of risk you described and is one we’ll continue to highlight clearly for all customers.
We’re genuinely sorry for the stress this situation has caused and appreciate you sharing your feedback. It has prompted us to review both how we communicate security guidance and how we support customers in rare delivery incidents like this.
