I purchased a DS4 from Apex Cars Direct and had several issues.

The invoice I received was incorrectly addressed, but this was minor and rectified relatively quickly.

The car was delivered to me, however I then had to drive the person who delivered it to me to the train station. Not very professional at all.

Upon reviewing the car, unfortunately the timing belt was in a heavily degraded state showing significant signs of cracking. To be fair, the wet belt engine design is not the best, but it should not have been sold in such a condition.

I was charged £1 a mile for all miles over 30 driven and had to return the car over 100 miles away. Having reviewed the situation I deemed it was better to take the financial hit. Apex Cars Direct did offer to replace the timing belt when I arrived, however at that stage, it was just easier to return the car. Interestingly they did not offer to drive me to the train station so that I could get home.

On the positive side, the cash return transaction was quick.

Upon trying to then reclaim my tax, it turned out that the log book had been incorrectly registered to me at an incorrect address by Apex Cars Direct. This only became apparently after waiting a considerable time for the log book itself. I had to call DVLA and write a letter to fix this.

All in all, this was not smooth and if I had not noticed the issues with the timing belt in time, I probably would have had a significant financial bill on my hands in the near future.

The administration was poor and incorrect details were inputted. A different name was even used on the congratulatory email I received.

Perhaps I was just unlucky, but please be more cautious than I was when purchasing a car from Apex Cars Direct.

Just had a very pleasant experience buying a car from the Apex team who were all very hard working and polite. They delivered what they said they would... how refreshing to have great service.. definitely would recommend. Thank you Sam for all the help with the many questions.

Sam was friendly and helpful on the phone when I enquired about the vehicle. I then went to the garage to purchase the vehicle the garage was so clean and tidy and Sam was a really good sales man he has very good customer service skills. Purchasing the vehicle was so easy I would recommend this garage so far I have had no problems and I am over the moon with my vehicle

I had a great experience at Apex cars direct, I love my new Land Rover Discovery I bought from Sam. Got a good part exchange, and good finance options. Got a lovely video of my new Discovery before I arrived. Would recommend to anyone.

I bought an Audi TT from Apex Cars Direct, and while I’m happy with the car itself, the prep and aftersales care left much to be desired. Just for context I paid the full asking price for the car with no part exchange.

Prior to purchase I was made aware that the alloys were in need of refurbishment; they offered to respray them black, but this wasn’t the original diamond cut finish, which to me felt like they were trying to cut corners nor was any discount offered so I could get them refurbed myself. I specifically asked if the Haldex oil change had been carried out and was told, yes! but after checking the service history, it turned out it was just a gearbox oil change, this was not ideal.

Finally, Less than three months later having done no more than 250 miles the ABS light came on, the wheel bearing and abs sensor had to be replaced at a cost of £365. Given the low mileage I’d done, I don’t believe this issue developed in that time so feel it was Apex's responsibility. To date I've received no reimbursement towards the £365 despite being told I would.

Sales service was generally very good. Sound appraisal of my vehicle, no messing around, and gave a good test run of my potential purchase. Handover was a little clumsy, but down to staff holidays etc and my own tight timetable and circumstances. Nevertheless I am delighted with the Aston Martin DB9 Volante, it’s a stunning vehicle.

I purchased a wonderfully presented AMG GTR from Apex Cars Direct dealing with David. It involved a part exchange and some detailed discussions with regard to the history of the new car, previous ownership and everything you need to know as a purchaser to be confident you'll be looked after. David provided an outstanding service. I experienced his honesty when some things didnt go to plan and his commitment to his customer service.
