SCAM ALERT

I was approved on April 28, 2026, but never received my card. After countless calls and follow-ups, I finally received it, only to discover it could not be activated. The message instructed me to contact the issuer, but despite numerous attempts, I never received a phone call back—only emails.

After weeks of getting nowhere, I was told they would send me a check instead. I even disputed the charge with my bank, but my claim was denied. It wasn't until I started reading other customers' reviews that I realized many people had experienced the same problems.

My experience has been extremely frustrating due to the lack of communication, delays, and inability to use the service I was approved for. I hope this review helps others do their research before deciding to do business with this company.

Direct Card Reserve go out of business after 2 weeks ... feels like it!?

7:01 pm Thursday July 16th

Direct Card Reserve,

Are they out of business, the past two days ?
I really don't know where to start?

Finally got them on the phone after live chat, and nothing happened.

Think it's been about 2 weeks of communication, my email just got a return notification,

• they're not accepting email communications,

• toll free number suggested nobody's available for the past 2 days and just leave a message

• nobody available for live chat either

What a stark contrast, is this the same company from 2 weeks ... getting a little worried.

It did take 2 months just to get the card, it was a very nice account number, but the surprise me with the annual fee first she paid $35 then $60 and another $80 or something like that

It's sort of like a 50% down secured credit card with mysterious disappearing customer service

My first impression is correct "very unprofessional"

Please call me back!

Now they won't refund my money back to my card I had to REQUEST a check that will come in 30 days AFTER A SECURITY HOLD OF LIKE 24 DAYS.... wtf. I emailed them expressing how much of a scam this is.
So if u paid ur money be sure to go back on the site because u will be denied and u have to request a check to get ur money back then wait over 30 days.im still waiting for my check.....

Complete Scam

As others here have described, I got approved, paid all the fees, and nothing - no card and no response to my emails. It's been a little more than a month now. I'm hearing impaired so calling isn't an option. I'm not sure what to do next. FBI'S IC3? BBB?

Update: I filed a complaint with the FBI-IC3, which, as it seems, will go nowhere. I'll be filing a fraud report with my bank tomorrow, which also will likely go nowhere.

The abhorrent thing in all this is that these people are preying on the most vulnerable of society - those already struggling to rebuild their credit and likely having limited income.

Biggest scam ever

Biggest scam ever. Considering all the complaints, I believe it's time to start a class action lawsuit against Reserve Direct Credit. They gladly take your money and then there's no card. Called and canceled, no refund for 2 weeks now and counting. Ongoing since the date of application which was June 1st of 2026. It is now July 15th 2026

Reserve Direct card is a scam

Reserve Direct card is a scam! I paid the application fee and program fee and was told that a card was sent out. That was May 14, 2026 and was told that I would have my card by May 27th and now it’s July and yet nothing! I have cancelled the application and requested a refund and now they tell me that I have to wait 30 days to get my refund. No explanation was given. I paid the program fee and application with a debit card and now they refuse to pay me the same way I paid them. I will never do any kind of business with them and I encourage everyone to avoid them at all cost!

Direct Card Reserve Review

Direct Card Reserve Review – 1 out of 5 Stars

My experience with Direct Card Reserve was disappointing due to the high fees and the lack of clear communication about how the account works.

To activate the card, I was required to pay approximately $60 upfront, including a $30 activation fee. After activation, I was surprised to discover that the advertised $300 credit limit was not fully available for purchases because $195 of the credit line had been allocated to a credit repair or membership service. In addition, the card carries a $75 annual fee.

When I contacted customer service, I was informed that I had 30 days to request a refund of the $195 credit repair service. While I appreciate that the refund option was available, this important information was not clearly disclosed before I activated the account. It also took a considerable amount of time to reach a customer service representative by phone.

Update: I did receive a full refund of the $195 credit repair service after requesting it within the allowed timeframe, and I appreciate that the company honored its refund policy.

I would not classify Direct Card Reserve as a scam. It is a legitimate Visa credit card issued by TAB Bank. However, in my opinion, the combination of high fees, reduced available credit, and insufficient transparency makes it a poor value for consumers looking to build or repair their credit.

Before applying, I strongly encourage potential customers to carefully review all terms and conditions, including activation fees, annual fees, refund policies, and any optional services that may reduce the available credit limit. Understanding these details in advance can help avoid unexpected costs and ensure the card meets your financial needs.

Scam!!!

Im not able to out 0 stars but thats what these SCAMMERS are worth! I would nit wish this in my worst enemy! How do you charge me $95 and then forget to mail me my card only for me to get a message that's reads this: Unfortunately, we weren't able to open and activate your account, so we're refunding you $95.00, sent as a check in the mail. Confirm where to send it, request your check, and we'll get it out to you. There's a short hold before checks are issued.
Check requested

We've got your request. Checks go out after a short safety hold — about 30 days for yours, then your $95.00 check is mailed. No action needed from you.

This is bullcrap!

TOTAL SCAM.

They approved me, I waited for almost three weeks before I called because I hadn’t received the card. The rep told me it was in their next batch of cards being shipped. Fast forward another month, I log in today to find out because I’m extremely annoyed at this point, only to see:
“Unfortunately, we weren't able to open and activate your account, so we're refunding you $95.00, sent as a check in the mail. Confirm where to send it, request your check, and we'll get it out to you. There's a short hold before checks are issued.”
so they hit my credit, give me an approval, give me the runaround and apparently a straight up lie, and didn’t even email/call me to tell me that they couldn’t open the account after all of this?
It’s an absolute scam. Save yourself the time, money, aggravation, and RUN as soon as you see this.

(also that “short hold” to get my money back? yeah, it’s 30 days. so it’ll be another month before they even mail my check. let’s see if they actually even do that 🙄)

I was approved 3 months ago

I applied for this card almost two months ago. I was approved, paid all the fees, was able to make and login to my account. I heard nothing for about a month. I did a chat with your team and was assured it was in the process of being made and to just be a little patient, even after I asked for a refund since it had been a month. It’s almost a month after that first month, I had still not gotten any updates, or heard anything. So I logged onto my account again. Now I get a notification that I will not be getting a card after all. That I need to verify my address and you will send a check. AFTER a 30 day holding period. So it will be over three months since I was approved to even get my fees back? After I was approved and assured by your team that I would be getting my card. This is absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable. Can someone please help me understand how I was not notified at all, given no update, assured by your team, now I login and good thing I did or I would have never gotten the refund. I’ll be completing to the BBB and any other outlet possible.
