While we don't verify specific claims because reviewers' opinions are their own, we may label reviews as "Verified" when we can confirm a business interaction took place. Read more

Spam Emails!!!

Applied for 1 role. Got 348 responses for the same role. Didn't proceed with the position, received another 348 responses. Not what I was expecting from applying for 1 job once!

GDPR breach

GDPR breach. First I heard of them was through a barrage of spam emails that I never signed up for. Have tried to unsubscribe but to no avail. Now just block their email address and delete. Have contacted Trading standards about this.

Be careful

Applied for a couple of jobs on Indeed (UK). Sent CVs and cover letters via the Indeed application process.

The jobs were newly advised within the last 24 hours.

In each instance I received an automated response from Applygateway telling me I was now "approved to complete an application for the role". Each email contained a link to the public recruitment pages of each employer's website where anyone can submit an application for any jobs.

In all cases, recruitment for jobs I'd applied for had closed at least a week ago - even though the jobs had been newly advertised on Indeed, with that employer's corporate branding, within the last 24 hours.

Applygateway's emails to me were so full of trackers and clickloggers that my phone gave me warnings not to click, and their emails couldn't be opened on a PC with ghostery running.

The portal has no benefit to the applicant

The benefit to the candidate is non-existent. There are uncalled delays in moving the application to the recruiter and it can take up to 24 hours before you are advised that further action is required. This resuls in positions being filled before your CV is submitted.

SCAMMERS

SCAMMERS
They collect personal data, CVs, on the promise that they use it to help you apply for work.
They then spam with hundreds of emails over a short period.
The links in their emails don't work.
I wasn't able to change my password.
I wasn't able to login to change my details and deregister.
I have requested erasure of my details in accordance with GDPR - I don't hold out any hope.
