Poor customer service,no reply to emails regarding a noisy pump head,messages go unanswered on Instagram,I've spent a fair bit on aquael products,which are on the whole generally good products but seems like no help forthcoming when something goes wrong,think I'll start using Fluvial products from now on,at least you get a response from them.

Absolute junky filters need to replace sunction caps every few months on fish filters. Avoid buying these filtets as it will cost you more in replacing parts. I will be supporting a better quality company who provides a quality producy

Three days after setting it up it leaked all over my carpets. Which are now ruined! Waiting on a refund..

Shame really as it was very fast delivery & good price.

The glasses are too thin and tend to deform! Aquarium Leddy 75.

I bought an Ultramax 2000 and it was shipped with a broken impeller shaft. They sent another shaft and got it going. I loved the filter so much I bought a 2nd one for one of my son's tanks. This one has done nothing but give us problems. It was difficult to initially prime, 2 impeller shafts broke, the first filter motor died when it chewed up the impeller shaft. The company gave us a brand new filter. It ran for 3 days, chewed up the impeller shaft and same thing, the motor is shot. My son got so mad he went out and bought a Fluval FX6 and told me he is done with Aquael. Such a shame. Mine works fine but he had 2 units that were garbage. Update: I should have said this earlier but every company has lemons no matter the product. Will I buy another Ultramax filter? Absolutely. I would suggest Aquael improve the impeller shaft and motor. I have seen other reviews online and I am not the only person who had the issue I described above.

There are different modes to reproduce daylight, sunset and moonlight.

Bought an Aquael 2000 Ultramax external cannister filter as my Eheim Pro 3e was starting to have electronic problems' The Aquael is a superb filter at less than half the price of the Eheim. It is very easy to set up, the siphoning feature works really well, one pull and the canister started to fill. The shut-off valves seem to be well designed and I love the pre-filter which can be cleaned without draining the filter. if you follow the instructions you should have no problems and no leaks. Aquael have obviously thought a lot about the design of this filter. If this is your first external canister filter I would recommend that you get advice on the best way to set up the filter media.

The internal built in filtration DOES NOT WORK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We had to buy another internal filter from a very reputable company,a Ocean Free Hydra 50 Aquatic Deputator, costing £79.99!!!!!! to try and help my fish.But sadly it was too late.We had three beautiful 'Fancy' Goldfish, we've had for years, and the AQUAEL Aquarium has allowed one to die already.
The set up it terrible, the lack of customer support non existent, the Aquarium looks great, till you try to use it.
You will need to remove ALL THE INTERNAL FILTRATION and buy another internal filter, which will look out of place but might save your beloved fish?
