This was an awful experience. To summarise, In Oct 24 he put up a scaffold then quoted £14,500 claiming that felt needed replacing and ridge tiles re-seating to deal with a damp patch on a hallway wall. Said he could start next week but needed £3000 deposit for materials and scaffold. Stupidly I paid.
He never started and each week said it would be next.
By December I cancelled but could not get my £3k back until resorting to a county court action.
The problem turned out to be a blocked downpipe.
To cap it all, the scaffold he had erected turned out to be stolen and I could not get it removed!
I cannot recommend the use of this firm under any circumstances. The principal (sole point of contact) was keen to press for payment, once paid was no longer interested although there are outstanding items to be completed, damage for which they are responsible and faults which fall to be dealt with under the terms of their so called warranty. The firm have promised both verbally and in writing to rectify these matters but have failed to return to carry out the work. Despite assurances there has been a trail of hollow excuses for not doing so. When phoned either there is no answer, the calls are blocked and texts/emails are ignored. On rare occasions there has been a response and dates are arranged to complete the outstanding work they fail to come, giving no explanation. The firm have at no stage made any contact with a view to resolving the situation which has existed now for 6 months. Had I known in advance how the firm operates I would not have employed them.
I hired Aqua Roofing Evesham to work on my roof, and I am extremely disappointed with the quality of the work carried out. There have been multiple issues that clearly show a lack of professionalism and attention to detail.
First, the Velux window was poorly fitted, raising concerns about potential leaks and long-term damage. To make matters worse, the team used the wrong lead for the flashings, a basic mistake that could have serious implications down the line. The gutters were also installed incorrectly, which has caused ongoing drainage problems.
Upon further inspection, I discovered that the roof felt was full of holes. How a professional roofer could think this is acceptable is beyond me. The battens were positioned incorrectly, and to top it all off, they failed to install any insulation—something that was agreed upon from the start!
This has been a terrible experience, and I would not recommend Aqua Roofing Evesham to anyone. If you're looking for quality and professionalism, look elsewhere. I had to get the whole job redone, spend a lot of money.
Save yourself the hassle and choose a roofer who knows what they’re doing!
After service rubbish as we are trying to contact them because of a leak next door, no answer on phone and letter being returned as not at address!
