My Archway Publishing Team is Awesome!
Archway Publishing has a team of professionals who are helping me with every aspect of my publishing journey from book design and production to website development and promotion. My team offer excellent advice and ideas. The members of my team are all awesome!
Archway great books reviewed and promoted?
Pretty good self publishing company.
Except the result of marketing and promoting the book????? I wonder if Archway has the books reviewed to find good books, serious writers, like they would like to find gold!
Archway Publishing is the Answer
I just published my third book with Archway! My publishing consultant, Deena, takes every opportunity to communicate with the author (me). Not only does she have a good grasp on the intent of my books, but she understands the dynamics of the life events that surround each of us. My books are selling well and I enjoyed my experiences with Archway!
Poor Quality
Do not go with this publishing company!!!! First time authors please be cautious and careful! This company is fraught with lies and deceit. They claim they’re archway from Simon and Schuster when you call one number and then when I called another number to reach a different employee, the automated message said thank you for calling author solutions. If I didn’t hear it with my own ears, I wouldn’t have believed what I read online about someone saying that if this company tells you they’re Simon and Schuster they’re lying. You guys are the biggest liars and scammers I have ever encountered and I’ve encountered some pretty nasty scams in my life. I then looked at the pricing that archway charges for all the types of promotion that they offer. The prices were absolutely crazy! No one realistically pays that much up front to be promoted…..for anything!!! Unless they’re just super naive. Then when I received a sample of my edited manuscript back, the spacing was suspicious. BIG red flag!!! Then I was told that archway has professional editors…yea okay. They just use a Chicago site to edit your manuscript. They don’t use actual people who comment and offer suggestions. I could’ve just used grammarly and saved myself $650 bucks. And then they kept reeling me back in to staying in my contract when I kept telling them I was in a really bad car accident and have two huge hospital bills pending. You would THINK you would say I’m sorry I’ll see what I can do to help you get relieved of your contract. But no. I kept getting pressured to stay and felt trapped and like I was aching to get out. Then I was told I was too far into my writing process to receive any kind of refund which WASN’T true!!!! I actually qualified for a 50% refund and was only in the first step out of the 3 steps indicated to me in the full publication process. New authors, pleeeeeeeeease do yourselves a favor and stay far far far away from archway!!!!!…..like almost every review and YouTube video I’ve seen has said. They are a scam like I’ve never seen a scam!!! Do yourself a huge favor and go with a different publisher.
They read 17 pages and start telling…
They read 17 pages and start telling you you need a few thousand dollars worth of editing. I designed my own cover; they own it. Royalties: 10% on your paperback. You have to pay 90% for your own copies. The thousands of dollars you give them are ill spent. Really, you are not paying for professional advice. you do all the work and they charge you for it. Disgusting
Buyer beware before choosing this…
Buyer beware before choosing this company to self-publish. Don't bank on their tenuous relationship with Simon & Schuster; it won't appear on any product Archway provides.
Can't wait for book #2 w/ Archway!…
Everyone on the team was very thorough and always happy to help. Henjie was the best - he never let a question go unanswered!
Strong Leadership throughout the process was…
Leadership throughout the process was very good. Quality Control at print deadline was good, made better by authors attention to detail. Don’t expect a comprehensive proofread. You are ultimately responsible for your content.
Archway Publishing has been attentive…
Archway Publishing has been attentive and prompt in meeting deadlines and in getting all aspects of printing and distributing the book accomplished. I am completely satisfied with my book.
There were many positive things about…
There were many positive things about working with Archway Publishing: They gave me a long time to finally finish my book. Most of the time all of the people I worked with were pleasant and for the most part they were able to answer my questions.
I think working with a book that has as many pictures as mine was a challenge for them and perhaps I should have researched that particular aspect of the publishing industry.
I found it difficult to always visualize on the computer what the final page would look like in the finished product, for example when a new chapter was started with a title and picture, I had visualized it as being the right sided page; trying to save paper was very obvious in the final product.
I know that there are many books being published and that this was a self-publishing project, however, perhaps those working on the book could have been even more helpful if they had at least skimmed the book, looking at it as a whole.
Overall, it was not a bad experience and I have learned a lot, one of which is if I were to do it over again, I would perhaps look for a publisher more interested in my project as a whole and a work in art form.
Highly Recommended
The staff at Archway Publishing were accommodating and proactive. They answered my questions, returned my calls in a timely manner and were instrumental in ensuring the editing process went smoothly. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to publish their book.
Quality Control is poor.
Archway ia very professional.
Archway has great people to take care of us, the writers. They would get back to me in a timely manner and would answer my calls promptly. The book quality was excellent. The marketing department, on the other hand, and the options offered are kind of expensive, which made me think of the limitations of self publishing. I
purchased the least expensive package, which translates to almost nothing, so wish me luck! Happy with my book!!
Archway provided me a path to follow…
Archway provided me a path to follow during the book writing process. I knew what next steps I had to complete and it kept me moving toward finishing my book. I will be using them again for my next book in the coming months.
Archway Publishers are terrific
As the author of 13 academic and one memoir publications, the editor in chief of an international journal and having served on the editorial boards of numerous publications I was seeking a highly professional and friendly publisher for my first fiction novel. I found it with Archway,
The staff were extremely accessible and my editor was one of the finest with whom I've ever worked. The cover is beautiful and was designed with very few suggestions from me.
For my next novel, I will go directly to Archway Publishers and highly recommend them to other authors.
THE RIVER RAGES
My experience, and I realize that not everyone has the same experience, was that the entire process was slow from start to finish. There was also added costs that I didn't foresee. Again, I might should have known better, but for my first time publishing a book, I thought the first price was the only money involved. I never rec my first copy of the final book. It was during this time I was very sick and in the hospital. I then noticed my picture was not on the back of the book even though the book cover had been designed to include the picture. I was told to put the picture on the cover there would be another charge even though I still have an email confirming my picture had been received. I went through the book thoroughly last night and I will say I only found one typo error. I consider that great. People do make mistakes. I'm disappointed my picture was not on the back cover and there was no resolution to fix it except more money. I have the sequel to this book ready to go to a publisher, but I think I will search for another company. I'm happy that I finally have my book, even without my picture, but I'm not willing to try this company again.
Archway Publishing and its employees…
Archway Publishing and its employees have been a delight to work with. The finished product of my novel, "The Stolen Manuscript," is a very attractive, professionally produced book--paperback and hardback alike. Everyone has been congenial, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful with phone calls and e-mails. I would highly recommend their organization.

I was satisfied with the final product. I had to wait for return calls during the process. Other than that I’m satisfied.

As a new Author this was a helpful service, but I have to say there was a constant push to buy more services. There was also no sense of urgency when they had a task, however when I had one I felt rushed.
