excited to have our DIY lamp making party, i ordered the kits and am a bit disappointed to see there is not a pattern sheet for the designs you order only a generic one, there is no reference photo of the lamp selection you pick when placing your order. i am going to have to do some work now to prepare printed photos from screen shots of the web site order, which is not ideal. a nice addition would be to include the detailed design instructions if your limited to only enough product to complete that design.

It was an amazing experienced. The Vaughn location was great. Our guy instructor was excellent. Me, my daughters and grand daughter (5 of us) enjoyed it very much and very satisfied with our finished products. I get a lot of compliments from my friends in FB. Some were interested and asked for your website.
I will be doing it again with my girl friends.

Loved the overall experience of mosaic lamp making

This was so much fun. The instructors were helpful and energetic. The materials were organized and laid out well. We really enjoyed it and made new friends!

The three hostes were friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The 2.5 hr workshop went by very quickly. All supplies were plentiful, in good condition. The room was big.

Paints were dry - DIY kit and the cost value is not worth it.

We had a great time. I purchased this as a Christmas gift for my best friend and we enjoyed it so much we will be returning to try a different class.

The delivery was quick and right at my front door , not damaged .

It could of came sooner and when they say they dealt with that it's on its way not wait till 3 or 4 months

I loved the ability to be able to create something so different and unique but there were a few things I was disappointed with:

1. The instruction wasn't very good. The instructor stood far away, making it very difficult to see what she was actually doing.
2. If the instructor wasn't showing us a 30 second 'next step' tutorial, she sat behind this big desk the entire time not integrating and chatting with the class. It was like the class (7 people) were alone doing their own thing.
3. Utilization of the entire time. The class was supposed to be 2.5 hours in length, but she asked us to leave after 2 hours. I wasn't finished my piece and feel upset about it.

It was a fun workshop but there could have been more instruction and interaction between the instructor while completing the lamps. Could have been more details on colours, patterns using samples

Based on other reviews, it sounds like my experience was unusual. But I do want to share it, in case it's helpful to others.

I signed up for a turkish lamp making workshop with my mom. We bought tickets separately. We hardly ever get to spend time together, and so we were both extremely excited for the class. I paid about $135 dollars to take the class, which is a lot of money for me.

One day before the class, I received a text saying the event had been overbooked, somehow. They offered to either ship me a DIY kit to complete at home, or to send me a gift card for their company for the value of the class plus an additional 30% value.

I explained that I had planned to attend with my mom, and how much we had been looking forward to doing this together. I asked if there was any way they could still include me in the class. They responded saying that I could keep my original booking.

When I arrived (15 minutes early), I was told that the kit I had purchased (the rechargeable camping version) was not available. At first, I was heavily pressured to take a different kit - for some people, this might have been acceptable, but I specifically wanted to use the lamp for camping trips, so I was very reluctant to accept. Eventually, one of the assistants/coordinators told me that I could simply create my lamp during the class, and they could ship me the rechargeable lighting element later. I was totally fine with that arrangement.

I wanted so much to like the class, but to be honest, there was very little actual instruction. Essentially, I paid to go to a facility (a local hotel conference room) to work on the piece, following printed written instructions. The instructor basically reiterated the printed instructions. I think the main benefit was that the project was somewhat messy, and we didn't have to worry about cleanup vs doing it at home.

Towards the end of the session, the class was informed that we would need to come back the next day to complete the second half of the project. The confirmation email that we received did not make it very clear that this was a 2-day workshop, and we were both surprised at this. Luckily, the kit we were given included materials to complete the project at home, so I guess it was fine.

Art Masterclass reached out to me the next day, which was great. Initially, they told me they could send me the rechargeable lighting portion for the lamp I made, plus a whole new kit for a new lamp to make up for the inconvenience. I was very happy with that arrangement.

However, after confirming my shipping address and specifying the color of the new rechargeable camping lamp kit, they clarified that they would only be sending one lighting element. So, at the end of the day, I will only have one working lamp. I guess that's fine, but I was surprised they were not clear on that from the beginning.

I completed the work on my lamp at home, and I'm looking forward to having a finished piece. But I'm surprised that I seemed to run into issues at every level of the process, especially given the cost of the class.

ANYONE CAN COME and join in on the fun, as the facilitators guide you step by step. ALWAYS demonstrating for you, while having you refer to directions that come with every lantern. Allowing individuals like myself with not Great hands to work at my own pace, therefore actually able to relax and enjoy it. They were so knowledgeable, willing to help and enthusiastic about everyone’s individual Lanterns. They were also very personable and happy to put together take home packages 📦 for those of us so excited to make another before they are back in town.
