No more crushed nuts and pounded butt. The Ascent saddle is the fifth saddle I've tried on my current e-bike (Gazelle Ultimate C380). On the others, I've had to be careful how I perched my backsid... See more

I was able to stay in the drops on my road bike for longer. The aero gains by staying in the drops longer far outweigh any weight penalty compared to my last saddle. I haven’t done any rides over 50 miles yet but I’m confident that they will be more comfortable.
Great customer service great saddle.
I ordered the saddle and received it shortly after. Unfortunately it had a small tear on the front of the seat. I wrote to customer service and within a week they sent me a replacement. I put the seat on the bike and wow it really is the most comfortable saddle I have ever had. Kudos to you on your customer service and the quality of your product.
Early days
Early days - but...
It's early days as I've only been out on a short 25 mile outing, but first impressions are "finally"! I've finally found a saddle that is along for the ride, rather than (adversely) defining the ride! And if so, then this is a 5-star review. Hurrah!
As a bonus - the service/purchase from Ascent was first class.
Great Experience With Ascent and Customer Support
The quality of the Comfort+ bike saddle in terms of materials and manufacturing is very good, surprisingly for the price. I had a lot of questions and Emma in Customer Support was outstanding. Emma was very quick to respond to my questions over many emails. I wish more companies had this quality of expertise and responsiveness. The Comfort+ is easy to install and well made. All in all a delightful experience working with Emma and Ascent. Highly recommended.
So far so good. I’ll get back to you
Not being asked how I like it when I haven’t received it yet was not necessary. It is your business. We have it and put it in the back of a tandem and it seems good! I have to laugh that it turns out my husband had bought one too so now we have tooooo many saddles AND too many bikes (and guitars) but Bikes Around the World donations day is a spring thing.

I am of a "Mature" Age and can still ride thanks!
I am of a "Mature" Age, over 70 with back and hip problems.
I am using an Ascent Sport and its the most comfortable I have found.
I now do not get Hip Pain after a ride.
Its great, I have an Ascent 2 for my wife to use also.
Vacation tryout: first ride 😳 😁🤩
Took it out on vacation before trying it out! I loved it! Very comfortable, great fit, no crazy sore spots! I believe y’all nailed it!

I want to express how grateful I am to find this product. I have ridden on various saddles, and found this to be the most comfortable. I also found it is the best bang for your money.
Sometimes when a saddle feels…
Sometimes when a saddle feels uncomfortable, I think it's something I'm doing wrong, not angling front-to-back correctly, not lubricating enough, maybe I should just stick with recumbents, etc. But I like my Bike Friday and Brompton bikes! When I saw the ad for the Ascent saddle, I thought: give it a try. When I first sat on it, it felt good, but I didn't want to judge too soon. So, after a couple of weeks, with rides ranging from 10 to 25 miles, my opinion: this is a great, comfortable saddle! If your butt feels sore, it might not be your fault. Give this Ascent saddle a try!
Great purchase
Great purchase. After a couple of rides achieved a 60 mile ride without the numbness. Great value too.
20 miles used to be me butt limit
20 miles used to be me butt limit. Now my legs give out before my butt. Love exploring twice as far.
From the very start
From the very start, the communication was fantastic. Shipping was prompt. Shortly after receiving my seat I received an e-mail, not a survey but an e-mail asking how I liked it. I told them the weather had made it impossible to try. This person then commented on the weather and wished for bluer skies in the future. This was a person! I asked then for pointers on the starting set-up and again, right back with suggestions. I finally got to try my new seat and I couldn't be happier! What a great product offered by a wonderful team!! Thank You!
Easy to order and delivery was quick
Easy to order and delivery was quick. I love the softness and comfort of the seat.
I was having a difficult time with saddle pain and discomfort.
I was having a difficult time with saddle pain while riding. I know, it's part of riding, but Ascent has made things so much better. I rode 150 miles is 3 days and my butt does not feel super painful like my other saddle would have made it feel. It is world's more comfortable and still sporty at the same time. If you're wondering whether this saddle is worth spending the money on, let me resolve that issue, absolutely!
So far - So good
After a 2 year medical hiatus, I’m practically starting my cycling over again. 12 milers instead of 40s. Like other cyclists we struggle to find the ideal seat. I was very skeptical about ordering my Ascent Sport. I’m finding it to be more comfortable than my others. Some positioning adjustments are still in order. I’ll be in a better position to evaluate and update my review after reaching 20+ miles per ride. I’m having great expectations.
I had a terrible experience with Ascent…
I had a terrible experience with Ascent Bicycle Seats, and I strongly recommend avoiding this product.
This seat absolutely wrecked my back. After just a short period of riding, I was dealing with soreness and discomfort that lasted for nearly a full week. A bike seat is supposed to support you—not leave you recovering like you’ve been injured. It failed in the most basic function it’s designed for.
Beyond that, the build quality is extremely disappointing. The seat feels heavy, poorly constructed, and cheap, especially considering it costs around $95. There’s nothing about it that justifies the price point.
What really pushed this into unacceptable territory was the return process. The company expects you to pay $25–$45 out of pocket to ship it back to Sweden—for a product that already isn’t worth what you paid. That’s a huge burden to put on the customer for what is clearly an inferior item.
Bottom line:
Uncomfortable, overpriced, and backed by a terrible return policy. Save yourself the pain—literally and financially—and buy from a company that stands behind its products.

Reply from Ascent Bicycle
I get it now. Best ride ever.
Just like every bicycle saddle, It took some time to get my new Ascent saddle just right. And once I found the sweet spot, it is truly sweet. I’m not sure how Ascent made a seat this forgiving, but they nailed it. Most comfortable ride ever.
Relief seeker!
I have tried every saddle imaginable in my over fifty-nine years of cycling, including a well-worn BROOKS seat to cheap CYCLE PRO seats, even the super-heavy SPENCO GEL seat cover that I rode on for 155 miles in ONE DAY! This saddle is super comfy right off the bat, but... seeing my GALLI and CAMPY equipped NISHIKI COMPETITION gain so much weight just because of a minor comfort improvement left me shedding tears! Perhaps offering TITANIUM or at least ALUMINUM rails might take some of the sting away! Just a suggestion, as an increase in price (REASONABLE!) is worth it to us ounce saving fanatics! Thanks for tackling this perennial problem! Best regards, Thomas Vitrano.
Sit bone pain relief!
I purchased the ascent saddle to replace the Bontrager seat on my Wahoo Kickr training bike. I was experiencing pretty severe sit bone pain after approximately 30 minutes of riding - having to stand for a while for relief. The ascent has assuaged the issue. Thank you!
Nice seat
Great seat once adjusted. Shipping took a while, updates were a lil slow but overall great seat.
