Shot about 100 clays with friends. We were on holiday in Devon and emailed the ground who were responsive. As a certificate holder I was able to rent a gun and “plug and play” with my friends.

The layout was easy to navigate with stands that offered a variety of clays suitably for all abilities. Very clean and very organised.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Was as good a ground as I have visited .

The booking process was relatively easy for the clay shooting experience. The staff were friendly and the shooting was really fun. My dad and I had 25 shots each and the session was good fun with a bit of competition. The instruction was good as well which was evidenced in us hitting the clays more often than not.

The weather helped make it an even better experience as the location looks great in the sun.

My son went for a shooting experience and loved it, Paul was kind, encouraging just a genuinely nice person.
We will be back.

A fabulous clay pigeon shooting experience for complete beginners - very professional and safe set-up (as you might expect) with terrific instructors.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time (despite the drizzling rain) and will be going back for more … given you get use of the rifle, cartridges, clays, the facilities plus the instructors time, etc, the value for money is exceptional ! Highly recommended - 5 stars (and the admin staff are so helpful too !)

We visited Ashcombe Shooting ground, while on holiday nearly and had a fantastic time clay pigeon shooting. There were 5 of us in the group 2 teenagers and 3 adults, our instructor, Paul, was brilliant! He was very knowledgeable, encouraging and extremely patient with us newbies! It was one of the highlights of the holidays!

Really Lovely Grounds as soon as you drive in.
Receptionist was really lovely and seated us in the lounge whilst we waited for our slot to start.
My son and I did 12 guage clay pigeon shooting with the very friendly instructor Steve for an hour (50 clays each). Great experience as had a variety of different stalls with different height clays and a rabbit rolling clay which was fun and a first for me to try and shoot. Double clays at different heights made for a real extra challenge. Steve was very helpful on helping us when we missed a clay, explaining if it was our stance or face off from the gun that caused it or too late on the trigger. All in all a great experience and would thoroughly recommend! Welldone Ashcombe team!

Went for a shooting experience today with my father, brother and nephew and I can not recommend this place highly enough. The instructor took his time to understand our previous experience and was more than happy to answer all the questions that we had. If you want a first time experience in shooting a shotgun, then this is the place to go. Ideal location, easy online booking service and excellent staff all round!

The team at Ashcombe Shooting Ground are brilliant. From reception to coaching I rate them as exceptional. Having made one feel at ease on arrival, the quality of the coaching has been outstanding: embedded bad shooting habits were quickly identified and corrected in a manner that restored confidence. Well done and thank you.
