My cat is in good hands

I have been with this practice since they opened, having lost trust in medivet. I have never been disappointed with the treatment my cat has received. He has had to have many teeth removed and that can be expensive (which it was) but I was clearly shown the price and which teeth were being removed. Having spoken to others friends in London the price was not unreasonable. I like the fact the subscription means you don't need to pay for a consultation. I brought my cat in today due to a bladder issue and I was seen immediately (as infections in cats can be serious) I felt well-informed about the diagnosis and treatment and the only cost to me on the day was the medication. This would have been pricier at another practice I'm sure. I have also had to bring my cat in regularly for nail clipping again no charge. I am more than happy with this practice and would recommend them.

Fantastic new veterinarian discovered

Fantastic new veterinarian discovered! After dealing with Medivet for a long time, I finally found Claudia, a wonderful woman who truly understands her craft. I have complete confidence that my Bolly is in good hands, cared for with expertise and affection. Charlotte at the reception was delightful, getting us an immediate appointment, and we even received a charming welcome pack for our furry friend. Extremely satisfied! xx

Such an amazing veterinary practice

Such an amazing veterinary practice, the staff are all amazing. I have a rescue, Finn, who came from Cyprus and is very anxious. The vet, Alice, spent ages gently gaining his trust before attempting to touch him. Thoroughly recommend

Went for a visit the vet said my dog…

Went for a visit the vet said my dog most probably had cancer paid extreme bills for a check and he has absolutely nothing wrong with him. Made us worry for no reason a sleepless night a massive vet bill! I do not recommend them at all and shall be seeking compensation.

Beware: Pickles Puts Profit Before Pet Care

Pickles Veterinary Clinic markets itself as a friendly, caring, "new kind of vet." However, behind the colourful front lies a practice more concerned with cutting costs than providing proper care for the animals they're meant to look after.

This morning, I took my male kitten in for neutering, and what followed was nothing short of alarming. During the initial check-up, the nurse pulled out an outdated rectal thermometer. I requested a chip-reading thermometer – a modern, stress-free option I’ve seen at other vets over the years. She informed me that their technical director, Rory, had decided not to buy them. It seems that saving a few pounds is more important to Pickles than the comfort and care of their patients.

When I asked to speak to Rory, I was told he was "busy." She proceeded to insert the rectal thermometer into my kitten causing him to squirm and meow in pain until I pulled him away. Moments later, I found him in the next room, doing absolutely nothing. His attitude was shockingly rude and dismissive. When I raised the issue about the thermometer, he outright denied it, despite his nurse confirming it was his decision not to invest in the proper equipment. She then denied saying this, and he said he can trust either her or me, implying quite clearly I was lying, even though I had no motivation to do so. Instead of addressing my concerns, Rory smirked condescendingly at me and implied that I was being unreasonable for wanting better treatment for my pet.

At this point, I lost all trust in this practice. Not only are they using outdated, uncomfortable methods, but it's clear they prioritise saving money over the welfare of the animals in their care. I decided to leave, as I could not risk my kitten’s health with a vet more focused on their budget than on providing quality care.

Yes, Pickles may be cheap, but you truly get what you pay for – and that’s far from good enough. If you care about your pet’s well-being, I strongly recommend you go elsewhere.
