Paul's got a great thing going, when someone with as much experience as him is saying stuff that differs so much from the norm it's well worth lending an ear!
All the comps have very sensible prizes and the odds are always good.

Fantastic independent reviews and great odds to win some amazing tech. I happened to be close by and could pick up my flex-bar in person (even came with a tasty beer of choice and a little enduro loop with Paul). Can definitely recommend!

Haven't won any of the sick prizes from skilled based comps but I see it as paying for a subscription to honest no BS reviews of bikes and bike parts. So good it's put me off the general bike media sites. Only wish there was more content more often. Can't wait for the next installments!

Just so good to see someone finally make honest reviews and shares this with everyone.
In my 21 years as a bike mechanic I just can't say quality has increased over the last decade.
Sure there are some great improvements, but not all of them and I'm glad Paul speaks the truth!

Best dude ever. Learned much from him

This forking son of a tire pinch did not made me win in his comps yet, but I love his british no BS approach to bicycle reviews. Price on comps are reasonable cheap (compared to what you could win) and I take not winning as an opportunity to clam down my nerves by cracking a cold one after I watch the draw.

I had a chance to chat with Paul when I went to pick up the Banshee legend RRT. He's a nice guy and I'm happy to see the work his doing! There is too much BS in the bike industry and I'm glad to see someone that makes independent and legit reviews.

Excellent business model and a great guy. I was lucky enough to win one of Paul's competitions and he was massively helpful all the way through. Buy tickets and you might win! I will continue to support Paul and hopefully win more in the future.

The media and publishing industry has all sorts of commercial interests that hem them in, so it’s refreshing to see Paul uncowed by advertisers. I have not won anything yet (come on, Google, pick me!) but I’m happy to support him in any way I can.

Really great communication on the comps. But definitely a different voice in the mountain biking industry who will give good honest reviews good or bad. Also lots of reviews of smaller brands you wouldn't normally see reviews from

Paul provides no BS reviews and shares his own experiences as a consumer which allow the MTB community make well informed decisions about where to spend the $$$$$’s. Great comp odds at a very fair price. Will probably have attempts on his life by the big corporations. Hopefully this is just the beginning of a bigger platform, making bikes better.

One of the few, if not the only place to read something different than boilerplate MTB-related review. Plus, if you are lucky like me, you get to read about the braking properties of Braking brakes, win the brakes and test their braking properties yourself :)

In addition to all this, Paul is super nice to talk to and will help you with advice on setup, etc.

Paul is the only truly independent MTB product reviewer on the internet. The reviews are not sugarcoated and you get a totally honest review without the BS.
