New Orleans is a product of its history and we wouldn't have our weekly second line parades if we didn't have our African influence. There would be no Mardi Gras without the French, VooDoo without the Hatians and BBQ Shrimp without the Sicilians, Everyone plays a part. Even the post Katrina influx of young artists and musicians has already played a huge part in the city today. We wouldn't be drinking ion the streets if the city wasn't founded by Catholics.
