Set up on guitar, was difficult to play due to high action after 5th fret, now a joy to play. Staff are brilliant, shop is a joy to visit.

Not only is the shop immaculate and well stocked, but the guys care so much about giving great service. Their enthusiasm for helping fellow musicians is genuine, and getting rarer by the week. Highly recommended.

Purchased a Yamaha revstar standard swift blue humbucker guitar,nice staff,great new shop ,the place is lovely set up 👍

Had a problem down loading Boss Katana tone studio to my computer. I phoned A strings and spoke to Adam who asked me to bring my amp and computer up to them. Absolutely brilliant service from Adam and Matt who sorted it out for me, Thanks guys. Also I was very impressed by the amount of different brands of guitars and other musical instruments they have in stock. Well worth a visit now PMT in Cardiff has gone.

I'm there regularly. Staff are professional, knowledgeable and very giving of their time. A fantastic store that I can recommend wholeheartedly.

The true test of a businesses integrity is when things go wrong... I bought a guitar which had a manufacturer issue which was resolved by Andrew and Kris at A-Strings positively, professionally and at their own cost. I cannot thank and recommend them enough and am looking forward to my new guitar. :)

I recently visited the new shop / showroom as they have recently moved from Pontypridd The store is beautifully laid out on two levels with ample parking nearby. Andrew and his staff were very welcoming and knowledgeable . It’s nice to know that there is such a well stocked musical instrument store in our area.

What a hidden gem of a guitar shop / musical instrument shop! I don't usually leave reviews but I was so blown away with the work Kris recently did on my Rickenbacker bass, I just have to let people know - this is the place to go to get your guitars & basses set up. Having some annoying fret buzz I called in with the bass expecting to leave it there to be worked on but Kris could see almost immediately that 2 frets had lifted out slightly. Bass safely on the work bench and a few minutes later Kris had tapped the 2 loose frets back into place!! I'm still in shock a week later how good the bass now feels. Based just a few miles outside Cardiff, this really has to be the best guitar shop in S Wales!

This music store is one of the best I've ever experienced, they set the standard on how a good store should be run, they are friendly family run and nothing is too much trouble for them. Their stock is amazing and if you can't see what you want they will order it in with no obligation. They also have a great after sales service that helps build a good customer relationship. I highly recommend Astrings for any your musical needs.

I Just recently got my PRS S2 Standard 24 ( charcoal ) back from guitar tech Kris @Astrings after having had a set up and service done on it , I had been having the usual problems of fret buzzing etc and the playability of the guitar was absolutely terrible tbh .
All I can say is my guitar is an total pleasure to play now the action is really low on it , but without any buzzing or choking out on the neck whatsoever.
I've never really been happy since purchasing my guitar as made a big mistake and bought it from an online guitar retailer without trying it first but saying that it did save me quite a lot money.
Now I am truly happy with my guitar and it plays and sounds like a 2K guitar should do !!!
So many thanks to Kris & Andrew and all the amazing staff at Astrings Pontypridd for getting this done for me .

I bought a new piano from A Strings. An excellent customer experience. I was encouraged to try the piano in store and I did not feel rushed. Very friendly staff and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Super fast delivery from the company to the store and then the piano was personally delivered by the store to my home. Amazing 👏

Super welcoming, they make time for every person who walks in!! They offer friendly and useful advice and don’t pressure you into buying anything.

Found the guitar I wanted at A Strings, called them, spoke to Adam, paid a deposit, and was told they would give it a setup. Popped in the next day loved the guitar and the shop. What a gem of a place! Stores like A Strings are why we should always shop local if we can. Amazing service, great selection for all budgets, knowledgeable and told always come back if there's a problem. Definitely recommended and when my pocket allows, I'll be back.

Purchased a guitar online from A Strings and received excellent service. Within minutes of placing the order I received a confirmation email from the appointed courier and within 24 hours, the guitar was safely in my hands. The guitar is perfect (and a particular model that I've been looking for for ages) despite being second hand and was very securely packed. All in all, a perfect experience - highly recommended. Just wish I lived closer to the store!
