Holiday Accomodation Scam
They operate under a company Vaytoven Technologies: Allegations of Fraudulent Conduct Involving Interval International Members
Vaytoven Technologies is alleged to have engaged in a scheme that exploits the trust Interval International members place in an established vacation-exchange system.
The alleged modus operandi is as follows:
1. Targeting Interval International members. Vaytoven Technologies contacts individuals who hold memberships with Interval International.
2. Misrepresenting access to Getaway accommodations. The company allegedly represents that it can access Interval International Getaway accommodations and arrange to rent them to third parties at higher rates, potentially to visitors attending conventions or other events.
3. Collecting advance payments. Members are asked to pay amounts associated with the proposed Getaway accommodations in anticipation of Vaytoven arranging the onward rental.
4. Failure to deliver the promised service. According to the reported experience, the anticipated rental does not occur, the promised service is not delivered, and the member does not receive the expected return or a satisfactory accounting of the funds paid.
If substantiated, this conduct raises serious concerns about potential misrepresentation, the unauthorized use of Interval International’s name or services, and the wrongful retention of funds paid by members.
The allegations warrant investigation, including verification of Vaytoven Technologies’ corporate identity, its relationship, if any, with Interval International, the representations made to members, the disposition of payments received, and whether other members have reported similar experiences.
