Aubiox 

After purchasing Yovot Pet Dental Care solution from Aubiox (which is the parent company of Slimpeaka), the total charge that went through my Paypal account was $17 more than the original invoice amount, supposedly due to "postage & handling" charges. However, the original charge already included shipping of $10. Fortunately I had purchased via Paypal and was able to make a successful claim for the excess $17. Emails to Aubiox seeking an explanation just bounced and links on their website don't work. The product did arrive, which is something, but the company is very dodgy and best avoided.

I ordered a product from Slimpeaka for $89.88 through a Facebook link.

Before I completed the payment, a box popped up saying I qualified for an additional item with an additional cost of AUD 8.99.

There was no opportunity provided to reject that offer so I came to the belief that it was a scam and didn't click on the "pay" button. Instead, I clicked on the "close" (x) symbol in the top right of the window, assuming that would cancel the transaction.

Shortly after, I received an email thanking me for my purchase. I then checked my on-line banking and discovered that I had been billed for $123.59 (AUD) by "USkiehous New York NY US".

There doesn't appear to be any such business or organisation.

Since then, I have received 2 emails from aubiox support saying that I still have the items in my cart. I replied to the first one detailing what I am reporting here and the email bounced back.

I have also received an email from t.shopifyemail.com (store+67567386684), which went straight to my spam folder, advising that the items have been shipped. This included a tracking number. However, when I followed the tracking link, a message was displayed that advised there was no such tracking number.

I responded again this morning to the second email from aubiox support, but I sent this one to aubiox service. So far, no response, but at least it hasn't bounced (yet).

Reddit reports numerous cases of scams where people have ordered goods from Slimpeaka and either not received anything or received goods that failed to meet the claims made in the advertisements.

Be careful what you’re charged. I order ed a 2 pack yesterday at $48.88 plus $9.99 postage and was charged $81.07 (red flag) I have requested a cancellation and refund as they advertise guaranteed refund if unhappy. I will see how long this takes or if I have to go through PayPal
