Independent Labels and Artists: Think Twice Before Using AudioSalad

AudioSalad paid more than €10,000 of my wife's Skaidimusic royalties directly to Randomsounds despite knowing full well that Randomsounds had no intention of paying her. Even before that, AudioSalad deducted their share of royalties owed to my wife and her artists.

This forced her to pay her artists out of pocket, based on average historical payouts, simply to maintain trust and honor her contracts while AudioSalad and Randomsounds walked away with the money.

This is exactly how some of these companies operate: profiting off the work of smaller labels and artists they are supposed to represent. Frankly, it doesn’t get much more disgraceful than stealing royalties from the very people you’re entrusted to collect for.

Artists deserve to be paid for their work before middlemen like AudioSalad and Randomsounds line their own pockets. This isn’t just unethical, it shows a complete disregard for the artists who make this industry possible.
