Lowest Paying Security Company.

I am Leaving Texas Instruments after 5 1/2 Years because of Allied Universal. They Bought Out our Company Point 2 Point Security Company that was in Addison, Texas about 16 Months Ago. This was The Worst thing that could of Happened to Texas Instruments. They have Refused us a Raise and NO kind of Bonus or Nothing. They Do Not appreciate anything you do. For all of The paper Work and This CyCop and Passdowns we must do everyday is Not worth the Pay. I went around to about 8 Other Security Company,s in Tucson and they All Pay More than Allied Universal. The Pay is Only $12.50 Hour. Every single Company I talk to give at Least $13.00 - $14.00hr . I go a New Job paying me $15.00hr Now. Working at The Casino. After 5 1/2 years at Texas Instruments I had NEVER been to Work Late. Not even Once. Texas Instruments got Mad a Couple of Times I came in Early. That is Funny. They brought in a New Supervisor about 4 Months ago and I was in The Security Business before he was Born. This Kid is a Regular Know it All. So, Please Do Not apply to work at Allied Universal. Look Somewhere else.

if I could give a zero rating for this…

if I could give a zero rating for this company I would. I worked out of the Harrisburg Pennsylvania branch. I have been a security officer for 13 years. I was a former supervisor twice and I will say that this is the absolute worst company you can work for if you want to do security. the branch management is absolutely terrible. I have never seen so much corruption and nonsense like I have with this company at the branch level. the client manager runs the show and he is a 26 or 27 year old punk. they don't care about you and all you are is a number trust me when I tell you that. The more you do the more you will get discarded. These are the facts of the matter and they are true. I could go on and on and on about a bunch of other things but if you're looking to work in the security field please look elsewhere and not work for this company.

Lazy and worthless

This is probably the worst company I have ever witnessed, as far as doing their job. Case in point, I work at a water treatment facility in Wylie Texas. I haven't shown my badge for the last 6 months. I show the back of my badge which has a QR code in the sleeve. Granted the other company didn't check either, but these people just sit in the guard shack, dark, and open the gate if people come by. Today I drove up and saw a guy's head barely sitting above the window. I waited for a bit, and he didn't come out or respond. I tap my horn to let him know I was there but his head just turned a little bit and then went right back. After waiting about 5 minutes I got angry off and yelled at him to open the gate. To which he responded by opening the gate and not even checking to see if I even had a badge. Water treatment facilities are supposed to be number five on possible terrorist threats. And this is the security we have watching them? Especially with all the covid-19 crap going on, you think people would pay attention just because we're more vulnerable now than we've been in a long time. These guys just sit in the shack and don't do anything at all and you can barely get them to even open the gate sometimes. They just can be bothered to put in even minimal effort. We're not talking about poor security, we're talking about no security. Our taxpayers are paying this company to come in and do absolutely nothing.!

The Greenville SC office is lack on…

The Greenville SC office is lack on morals. I contacted my manager Ward at the Greenville office to report a worker at a new post about giving away the clients inventory and he said he did not want to hear it. I mean I took a videos of a guard smoking illegal drugs on the clients property, while on the clock and he said she deserves a second chance. Zero tolerance policy don't matter here as long as you show up they don't care what you do. The only way they care is if the clients complain

I was in Nevada Equal rights commission…

I was in Nevada Equal rights commission ( NERC ) office yesterday and the officer name David Wedner intimidating me and walked me out from the office. He said to me that I know who you are and I have been dealing with you every day. I was like oh wow and I guess it's a tactic placed by NERC to prevent me from going to NERC office regarding my discrimination charges against the Venetian hotel. Since I notice that NERC become an Agent for the Venetian. Everything was cover up including excluded me from the investigations and now the NERC do not want me to go in their office as it's why that officer acted like that. Because, he have the gun and the right to shoot me. Well, no justice for all.

Very very unorganized company

Very very unorganized company, I would have to constantly call them to see when I'll be starting work and my hours. HR sucks they take their sweet as time to get back to you. They hired you and then later they laid you off for some weird reason. They don't pay fair even if you have a license to have a gun they want to pay you little, doesn't make sense.

You do not want to work here. Nope-you do not. Should I hire this company? Should I waste my money? Am I safe with AU....?

Former employee-
The following is how Allied Universal treats their employees. So if you are visiting a site where there are AU employees working or you are keen on hiring AU to keep you site/company safe-THINK TWICE, unless you want the worst of the worst. AU security is a huge behemoth of a corporation and that is it. They do not demand or expect quality of their workers, who they treat like garbage. So just think of what you are getting/hiring.

The one star is actually incorrect it should be presented with a minus sign as well. Here we go, a sample of life at this security company. Coda included. Wait for it!

You start your day getting yelled at and blamed for the previous nights shifts problems. If you rate highly at your job- look out! If ten people in your platoon are "great!", all you need is one person to screw up (on personal phone call, clocking in late, not wearing a hat) and EVERYONE is written up and punished. Result- No breaks, no lunch, benefits are slowly taken away and wiped out. The rest of the day is on your feet for eight hours, but that's the lot (job) of an officer. The work here could be done by a two-by-four in a shirt. You must take endless notes on "nothing" to prove that you are on post. If you do need to report on an issue, safety or otherwise or something goes wrong and you call it in the Caps, Mjr and Lous THEY scream at you. Lots of screaming going on for 8 hours. Did I say 8 hours? Nope- your relief did not come in ( maybe quit or got fired for not wearing a hat) so now you MUST work 12 hours. But that shifts Cap just went home so the next shift Mjr clocks in and does not feel like relieving you. Saaay, that makes it a 16 to to 18 hour shift. They just forget all about you. If you question this process- they yell. Did I mention that the "Client" hates overtime. Yes they do. If you need to go to the bathroom you must go at the time they tell you to. Or in your pants. Then you're written up. Not kidding. AU fired an officer for wetting themselves.

I've learned that the only thing worse than being beaten over the head with a large live fish is the Caps, Majors and Lous at AU. What is far worse than them is the Management. It's easier to find a black hole in your bathtub or a talking unicorn than contacting management. Phone numbers, no way. If you do reach anyone they transfer your to a dead line. No joke. If you do get to talk to your site manager it's half truths or full avoidance. ( I had no idea there was an "under the bed" for my site manager, strange) Or a conversation such as..OFFICER-YOU "I'm having a problem with the not getting paid overtime could you please...help.." ALLIED-U-THEM- "IF YOU DO NOT STOP SCREAMING AND USE A PROFESSIONAL TONE, NO I WILL NOT HELP YOU- NOW SIGN THIS RESIGNATION LETTER FOR - DO NOT EVEN SPEAK TO ME, OFFICER, NO-NO- SIGN THIS RESIGNATION LETTER FOR INSUBORDINATION!!! YOU DO NOT SAY ANYTHING TO ME!!!" Not kidding with the above at all, it actually happened. To myself and other officers.

Workplace culture = Management is UNTOUCHABLE (you have no access to them anyway...) the Caps, Majors and other higher ups are "your" GODS. Officers are replaceable, expendable and the entire Company seems to think that there is a never ending supply of warm bodies. But here is the paradox, you never have a relief from your post and if you do, that officer that is relieving you has just worked a 12 hour shift as well (did I mention that the Client hates OT?) and many people quit on site because they're sick of 12 to 14 hour days and fear the inevitable 20 hour shift.

Vicious cycle that is totally and solely feed by the Managers; they can never hire enough officers to cover the amount of officers that quit or the officers that they fire. That just leave a few officers to perform double to triple the shifts- until they either quit from exhaustion or get sick on post. This is considered "positive accomplishment" by the Captains and Majors and heartily endorsed by Management. That's good business?

I've worked in security for several years and the hardest part of the job is a Lt ( a former Dennys fry cook) yelling at me for the sake of yelling. Other hard parts of the job include wanting to post my issues to the Union and on the day of the appointment being told that I MUST work a 12 (which turns into a 14 hour shift) hour shift and miss my Union meeting. That happens a lot and the first thing that I was warned about by other officers when I first started the job. Three weeks into my job, those officers were "gone"(??) That must be why a Cap laughed in my face, snorting, when I mentioned that I might take my issues to the union. Other hard parts are that Officers are not permitted to talk to each other- AT ALL. Or, you'll get written up. But the single hardest part of the job is that management treats you like a common criminal or worse than the "suspects" that the Officers are protecting the Clients from. Oh and how the Client and Allied Universal are never on the same page. If the Client says you must do this-and you do it- Allied U writes you up for it. And maybe the lack of leave or vacation days. Another hard part of the job is being hired under a false pretext ("12 hour shifts- we will only ask you to work UP to- 12 hours, never a full 12 hours and that's only temporary or during a holiday, forget about it.."- that's areal quote) Other than that, I think Mrs. Lincoln loved the play.

The most enjoyable part of the job was resigning. Except that it's been over two years and they still have not given me my $200.00 uniform deposit back. Might not ever get it. AU ignored legal letters sent to them to refund the Uniform deposit.

It does not matter if your work site is at a bank or a college, it's all the same, bad. Just a very bad job working for very, very bad people.

CODA-The reason for all of the overtime? It was so it could be processed in a separate cheque which was then stolen by the site manager. It was also alleged that the manager for client and officer relations was also doing the same thing to the officers union dues. If you want to work for this company-DON'T-run for your life. If you want to hire this company-THINK TWICE- AU is crooked and they don't care about their workers so why would they give a spit about the client? Answer-they don't. They're just a gigantic company. A very proper dumpster fire down a mudslide into the mouth of a shark.

Your service doesn't matter

Your service doesn't matter. Northern California. They love to hire new guards so they can pay them less. They treated older guards horribly. Theu lie about a lot of things. This was my experience with Aus most likely because of the account manager they don't care but seems that that is what they aren't supposed to do is care. My over all experience was ok but going through a dozen account managers and severel site Supervisors just for them to lose the contract they didn't want. I'm glad I left. I requested to be site supervisor for 5 years because I'm the most qualified but account managers are blind they can't see your hard work and dedication. Be careful who you work with because their flex officers are hit and miss same goes for the field Supervisors. I'm site supervisor now but with the new company. Thank the Lord!!

Allied universal security is the worst......

Allied universal security is by far one of the worst security companies to work for; my experience working for them was the most degrading, racist , and very stressful jobs i ever had in my life and i will never ever recommend them for employment or contract for hire ( which i still warn people about what they did to me which i still show my video footage to potential employees , contracts for hire and other security companies ) . i showed my footage to one security company (that i now work for ) and they said that branch manager should have been reported and fired but the company did nothing about this racist , treacherous , psychopathic, and unprofessional branch manager who had so many strikes already on theirself it is a shame that they was not removed from their position all together . beware of the southeast region in the state of La !!!! you will be terrorized and you have been greatly warned.
