Despite their website still being active, Autoroll ceased trading in Dec 24.

My husband called into the Washington branch today, ref the remote for the garage door of his elderly parents, the man who attended him on the trade counter was so nice and helpful, great customer service.

Needed a repair to my garage door, was told because it was over three years old they couldn’t help me, had to buy parts off EBay

I had an Auto-Roll roller garage door fitted in March 2020, with a 5 year warranty. From time to time it would refuse to close when I pressed the remote control (requiring me to press and hold the button on the wall panel for 30 seconds to close it). Then a couple of weeks ago (3 years after it was installed)
the door opened and would not close at all. The door had receded entirely into the housing - I could not see the leading edge of the door in the opening of the housing. It was jammed inside the housing and couldn't even be closed using the manual handle.

I had to call out the original installer, at a cost of £80, just to disentangle the door and get it closed (not to diagnose or fix the problem that caused it). The fitter told me that the door was prone to “overheating”.
When I contacted Auto-roll regarding the 5 year warranty I didn't even get the courtesy of a reply. The fitter has since told me that they are no longer honouring their warranties.
So basically my advice would be to look for a more reliable door, and a more reputable supplier.

This morning I spoke to Simon to explain the problem I was having (roller would not come down) After speaking to Simon I decided to purchase a new unit/battery. Very reasonable. Simon came across as a perfect gentleman, he was so help-full ,gave you time to explain in detail, He was a breath of fresh air.

I purchased a large 5 x 3 meter electric roller shutter finished in black.
I must say the quality of the finish and build was great
Initially we had a problems with a part which caused more issues with the motor housing bracket but with the help of Ian and a bit of patience from myself I now have a fully functioning door on my barn.
Their product is superb value for money and will definitely recommend these guys.
The only MINOR negative I would give is that I had to call numerous times for my issue to be resolved as Ian wasn’t always available.
I just guess their staff are stretched at these prices.

Bought a roller shutter from Auto-Roll, very simple instructions on how to measure, instant replies to emails, very competitive price, great quality shutter, delivered to the South West within the time frame quoted and excellent service from the delivery driver who went the extra mile. Cant ask any more than that and highly recommended on that basis.

My garage was damaged phoned the telephone number and bought the replacement door straps and after fitting them was given instructions on how to setup the door limits. Excellent customer service 👍.

Couldn't have been happier with the price, level of service and finished product.
Despite a foot of snow, the installation engineers turned up exactly when they said the would.
Despite a lot of rubbish in the garage and not the greatest of access, the installation engineers just got on with the job and were no bother at all.
Showed me my new electric garage door working, left 2 fobs and tidied up after themselves.
Exactly what you want from a company.
