Got charged a cancellation fee when the driver cancelled the booking!
Booked a taxi home on the app. Got in with 2 friends and I asked the driver to drop them off on the way back to mine, which I have done countless times before. However this time the driver refused to take us saying that I should have added their destinations when I booked. Like I said I have always booked for home and added destinations when I get in the taxi and this has never been an issue! And the correct fare is taken from my credit card. Both friends live on my route home and it would not have been out of the way at all! After a bit of too and froing I was assured by the driver that I would not be charged. So we ordered another taxi. However this morning I checked the app I have been charged a £3.90 cancellation fee even though I was promised I would not be charged and I DIDN'T CANCEL, THE DRIVER DID! This is basically misuse of my credit card details and nothing short of THEFT. Also, if I had opted to pay cash, they wouldn't have been able to do this so what is the point in using a credit card to pay when they abuse it?
