This is a copycat website

This is a copycat website. I was also tricked and the amount they took was similar to the monthly payment. I received an email straight after thanking me for buying my vehicle report and that I can now proceed to taxing my vehicle. Then I knew immediately it wasn’t legit. The link they gave in the email for this appeared to be the legit vehicle tax website but I wouldn’t count on it as that link asks for sort code and account number. I called bank straight away and blocked the company. I will tax over the phone.

Careful with this site

Careful, ref car tax, make sure it is HMRC you make the payment to, I clicked on the wrong one, made a payment for £11.99, thought it was a one off, just been charged £7.99 for the second month without even knowing. I got confirmation of the cancellation earlier, still feel like I've been done...

Avoid at all cost

Avoid at all cost, they’ve set up their website to make it look like you are renewing your vehicle tax, thankfully my bank have refunded the payment they took, and will be claiming it back.

I thought I was using a government…

I thought I was using a government website to pay for car tax as the new rules changed on the 1st April for Hybrid cars, they took £12.15 from my credit card and now I realise it was a scam, fictitious email address and no way of contacting them. Bank not very helpful either.

I tried taxing my car online through…

I tried taxing my car online through the government car vehicle tax website.

After going through the whole thing, I realised my car had not been taxed and there was no money showing out
of my account.

This morning checked again and that I owed cardebit £12.15 !!!!!

Basically got scammed!!!!

Be careful when going online to tax your vehicle. This site piggybacks onto the government website and you believe you are going through the legitimate process.

I am contacting my bank to get the payment cancelled.

Absolute scumbags

Absolute scumbags, trick you into thinking your taxing you vehicle, make you pay a direct debit of £7.99 then just send you a link to the direct guv website, MAKE SURE YOU GO STRAIGHT TO THE DIRECT GUV WEBSITE, do not let these rats dupe you.

This is a SCAM

This is a SCAM. Tried to pay my vehicle license tax via the Official government website, I somehow got duped into signing up to a direct debit with ‘Cardebit.co.uk’. The amount Immediately taken out of my account was £12.15. Spoke to my bank who advised I should phone them first (or email) asking for a refund and cancelling the ‘subscription’. If unsuccessful, my bank will contact Visa to obtain a refund.
Note, my car tax had not been paid.

Excellent Customer Service…

I didn't realise I was signing up to anything other than my vehicle excuse duty, aka road tax. Turns out I was actually signing up to a monthly subscription of £7.99 ....my bad!
After I spotted two of the aforementioned payments on my CC card (company stated as cardebit.co.uk), I emailed info @ vehicleroadtax.co.uk explaining how stressful this was for me , and the Customer Advisor Emma kindly cancelled the subscription, even waiving the 30 days notice they usually require.
So their after sales support is excellent.

Absolutely scam
I got caught and lost my money,
They pretend like DVLA, but they are not,
I had to cancel my debit card.

What an absolute scam

What an absolute scam. Initially thought I’d taxed my car as very similar site to DVLA. Quickly realised my mistake and accepted a £15 loss only to find that their trying to take £7.99 a month off me.
Payment doesn’t show as direct debit and couldn’t cancel on their website so have had to cancel my card as bank informed me this was subscription and only way to do it.
The government really needs to sort these sites out

Car Tax SCAM ALERT

SCAM ALERT
Like many others thought I’d taxed my car for £20.
Received a DVLA reminder a month later to my surprise 😮
Checked my American Express payments to discover an initial payment of £12.40 and a month later a £7.99 charge.
American Express have reimbursed my charges and I’ve put a block on company that charged me which is cardebit
Thought I was using legitimate gov.uk site. No suspicions at all!Just shows how far scammers go to lull you into believing you are doing the right thing as a law abiding citizen 😡

I taxed my parents car via the dvla…

I taxed my parents car via the dvla website July the car was taxed but vr2Autodebit took £12.95 from my account soon after they then changed their name to vehicle debit & took £6.99 from my account every month until now!!!I did not subscribe to them nor did I need a vehicle report. They somehow piggy back on the dvla website!! Santander can't refund me even tho I have not received a vehicle report or needed one! Do not get your car tax online do it via the phone or you will end up losing money to these scumbags!! Absolute disgrace to society.SCAM!!!They don't set up a direct debit that you can cancel they take it from the card you used to tax your vehicle so you have to ring your bank & cancel your card which is a massive inconvenience.I will also leave this review on the dvla so no one else falls for this.

Scam website that has piggybacked the…

Scam website that has piggybacked the official gov.uk website. Husband was taxing his car which is normally free but he had a moan that it had gone up to £12.40. We thought it was due to changes coming up in April. I then had notification from Halifax for a payment made to “cardebit.co.uk”. I knew then that we had been scammed so rang Halifax immediately to cancel the payment and card. We have different advice so far from Halifax, initially said they would refund and now saying it’s a legitimate payment. After yet another phone call they have refunded the money pending an investigation. I will be showing them all these reviews if I have any issues.
Not sure how you go about reporting them to DVLA or Google but hoping the more people report them it will prevent others from being conned.
