AutoEurope/ Dryyve. Disappointing.
AutoEurope’s supplier Dryyve, based at Salzburg Airport, were very good value but BEWARE of hidden charges (toll and an inadequate km/day allowance) and a €200 deposit which they keep for SIX MONTHS, in case of motoring offences. AutoEurope is only a broker so their customer services responded but team could/would not help. Their own voucher is misleading and does not warn of the issues at the point of booking.
Not satisfied with this rental company
When picking up the car I had to wait for 10 minutes. The car key could not be found...
Rental was just for 24 hours but I had to pay EUR 10,-- extra for highway fees. Never ever had to pay that before when renting a car.

Not trustworthy, unhelpful, differing rental conditions, owe us money - DON'T RECOMMEND
We booked a car with Auto Europe for our holiday in Sicily but unfortunately had to experience a variety of issues which still have not been resolved up to this day.
The problems started when we were unable to make essential changes to our booking due to our contract being very restricted. We recognized that being our own fault and lost all the money we paid for that rental car. In turn, however, we were offered 130€ credit towards our next rental car with Auto Europe. When renting the second car, the conditions stated in our voucher were significantly different to the conditions of the car rental shop which resulted in an additional charge of 219€ we had agree to immediately in order to be able to pick up the car.
Throughout this process (which has been ongoing for almost 1 month now), the Auto Europe hotline has not been very helpful at all. Staff was unwilling to help and had to be convinced by us to ask their boss about how they could help us solve these problems! Additionally, many of the staff we talked to did not speak German very well which resulted in significant mistakes such twisting the numbers of the main driver's age.
Up to this day, we still have not received the 130€ credit which was promised NOR a written confirmation of this credit which we explicitly asked for. Moreover, hotline staff told us to file an online complaint in order to get back the 219€ we paid. However, we still have not heard back from Auto Europe.
To sum up, I would not recommend Auto Europe to anyone. The number of issues we have encountered is too high for a supposedly trustworthy car rental company. As you can see, Auto Europe still owes us 319€. So I would recommend paying a little extra for a professional and trustworthy car rental company - in the long term that will save you time, money and energy.
