I was excited to work with AutoLawn on…but
I was excited to work with AutoLawn on two robotic mowers for my property in Marshall, VA — a Segway x430 and a Terranova CM240M1. The initial conversations with Mike were responsive and helpful; he quickly assessed my acreage, recommended the right units, and turned around a formal estimate the same day I asked for it. I approved it the very next morning.
That's where things fell apart. After approving the estimate on May 19, I never received a proactive update of any kind. I had to follow up by both iMessage and email on May 26 to simply ask if an install date existed. Mike replied two days later saying the large unit was still on backorder and that he'd "reach out today" with an ETA. He never did. I followed up again on June 8. No response. I canceled the order on June 11.
What's most disappointing is that Mike didn't acknowledge the cancellation, offer an apology, or make any attempt to salvage the situation. The initial sales experience suggested this could be a great service — the follow-through simply wasn't there. I'd encourage anyone considering AutoLawn to set clear communication expectations before approving an estimate.
