HORRIBLE SERVICE! THEY BANNED ME FOR LEAVING A GOOGLE REVIEW

UPDATE: Since leaving this review, they have said they will NO LONGER DO BUSINESS WITH US because we left a bad review of them! What amazing customer service.

Tiffany Gonzales refused to fix our car even though its recalled because they need the part to "actually fully break" before they'll actually fix it. Which is already ridiculous. But we made an appointment 3 weeks ago for this issue and she would never call us back about whether or not they have the parts. We have called several times and she will not reply. Horrible service always.

Never Go Here - Horrible Customer Service!

After waiting for Autonation Ford Scottsdale to fix my car for 16 days (yes they had my car for SIXTEEN days), they told me it was fixed and it wasn't. In fact, it broke down on the freeway. Tiffany, the service person, was nasty and never returns calls. She does not have the slightest understanding of auto repair or customer service. I left several messages for the manager, Keith. He NEVER called me back. Finally, he happened to answer his phone and he told me "if I didn't like how we fixed my car (they didn't fix it), take it somewhere else!" What a HORRIBLE place!

Purchased a 2017 Buick Envision from Autonation Dodge Ram Colorado Springs 3/1/23, I can’t even explain to you the headache I’ve had with this dealership. It is by Far the Worst Car experience I’ve ever had! Do not buy a car from this company. They lie, they don’t fix cars up to sell, they sell Unfixable Crap. After probably over 25 calls and emails to corporate, nobody has called me back. My car was dropped off 5/17 to be taken to an actual Buick dealership, well I called the 2 Buick dealerships in town finally track down my car, it’s 5/27, they haven’t even looked at my car. It was dropped to them after hours and they had no idea why or whose car it was. Meanwhile I have no loaner. This is sickening, I feel like such a shmuck. Anyway I’ll be there Monday morning to give ‘em hell, I don’t even want the vehicle anymore, just give me my money down back and buy back the pos. You guys need to be shut down!

Disappointing experience...

Our experience with this dealership located in Orlando, FL was terrible.
I could not be left alone to inspect the vehicle my best friend was Interested in purchasing. We could not even test drive it alone. We had to have a sales person with us for the test drive and he would not stay silent. I need silence in order to listen for any noises that could indicate an issue with the vehicle.
Then they did ran his credit report over 10 times without permission
to then deny himbfor being self employed.
My advice, stay away from this place. There are many other dealerships who will not waste your time and lie to you.

DO NOT EVER DEAL WITH AUTONATION!!!

DO NOT EVER DEAL WITH AUTONATION!!!! EVER!!!! I have purchased many cars before and I have never had a worst experience in my life. In December 2022, my husband and I were looking for a Jeep. I had seen one on their lot that looked to be a perfect match for what I was looking for. The first thing we told the salesperson, was that we were a couple of weeks out from moving back to Utah, from our one year stay in Arizona. We told every person we dealt with about this upcoming move as we knew that there would be titles, plates and the original contract that would be received after the move. Due to our jobs, some of our visits were done seperately to sign papers, test drive, ETC. On the final day, the paperwork person started to fill out the paperwork and told me that he would advise that we get some of the warranties that they offered, so that the vehicle could be protected. We were giving $30k down, so we thought at the time that we should probably have some coverage. At no time did this sales person tell me that he was tacking on an additional $11,000 in warranties (bundling). He talked in general terms of what would be covered for a seven year period. Saying often that I would get use out of everyone of them. He said that the difference in the monthly payment I would be making was an additional $50. He told us that all of the Loan documents, title, registration and plates would come to us shortly once filed. We again said that we were moving to Utah in the following two weeks, and gave him the forwarding address. Not one piece of communication came to us. We called, we emailed and now we are going the route of the BBB and a lawsuit. We looked into the coverages that were sold to us and MOST cannot be used outside of an Autonation dealership (never knew this or we never would have considered) and the closest one to us is in Vegas, over 500 miles away. So they knowingly pushed something on us with vague terms, not usable, never told us the full amount of all coverages and now we have been completely scammed. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM. They rushed us through the process, knowing full well that there would be no way for us to get a refund. Now we have $11k worth of coverage that we cannot use and they sold it to us knowing that was the case. We have tried to get copies of the loan documents and we cannot even get our calls returned. We have emailed the warranty companies to get refunded and get no answers. We had to get our own title and registration once in Utah as they never sent us anything that we paid them to get for us. I know that bundling is illegal, but this is not an experience that I would wish on anyone. I will keep going until I get a full refund for the warranty, as it was sold under false pretenses, and without my having the knowledge needed to make the decision properly.

AN Albuquerque

Ellis, our salesman at the Albuquerque location was very nice. However there seems to be a management issue at this location.
We had to wait 1 1/2 hours to close our car purchase (paying cash) because there was no Finance person on site. Turns out the Finance guy left his keys on his desk and walked out earlier that morning. When Thomas arrived from his day off, he told us the other guy had only been there a week.
When our temporary tag expired after 30 days I called for Thomas, he no longer worked there. Title clerk Valerie I think, said she had been on vacation for 3 weeks and was behind, but would have my plates in a couple of days.
A week later, no call. So I called Ellis and he said they could email me a new Temp. Tag (why didn’t Valerie do this??)
Finally got tag and registration ( which showed late fee of $20, not my responsibility) but no title yet.
Overall this AN location needs better management to succeed. I wouldn’t recommend it right now.

Car only had one key, cost us additional $300 for second key. AN declined to pay for the second key

WARNING!!!!!!!!

I don't ever leave reviews but feel I need to warn others!! Please go elsewhere!! I am dealing with a month long nightmare that still has not been resolved. If you buy/sell from them you can look forward to them not answering the phone. If you hit the jackpot and they do answer they will take your number and tell you someone will call you back. Don't waste your time sitting by the phone because they will NOT call you back. They will even give you phone numbers and email addresses that do not work. Everything out of their mouth is a lie. If you do make a deal to buy/sell plan to spend 1-2 days with them. They will hold you hostage. If you sell/trade a vehicle and it is financed don't expect them to pay it off. They will not and you will be left paying for a vehicle you no longer own. If all this sounds like a good time this is your place to buy a car. If not, please, please listen to me and go elsewhere!!! You would be better off going to one of those shady little car lots that are everywhere these days. They would be way more honest and easier to deal with. That says a lot!!! You would think going to a well known dealership you would not be treated like this. I want to help others avoid a horrible situation!! RUN, don't walk to another dealership!!! I have only skimmed the surface of what I have been dealing with. It is a horrible situation and I am in the process of getting outside help to try to get this whole ordeal fixed since Autonation will NOT help me at all. Save yourself from the frustration I am going through. Do NOT buy or sell from this place!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think it depends on location

I think it depends on location. Had two experiences with AN - a 1 star at one location and a 5 star at another so combining into single 3 star.

1. Five Star: The most pleasant buying process I've experienced.

Reserved vehicle online - able to submit virtually all paperwork ahead of appointment.

Arrived, but car had hit recall list. They offered up alternatives and we ended up with comparable car for several thousand less than the original. Also threw in free window tinting.

Great no haggle pricing, easy to work with. Fair value offered on trade. Did get pressured to buy extras from finance person.

2. 1 Star: reserved vehicle online. Showed up and told that it wasn't available, but offered up a replacement at almost DOUBLE the price - felt very bait & switch.

After expressing displeasure, they miraculously 'found' one almost identical to original vehicle with same pricing so we began the paperwork on it.

The finance offer however changed as the replacement vehicle somehow didn't qualify for same promotions. The $ amount wasn't that big overall and we negotiated it down a bit to make it reasonable.

More pressure sales from Finance dept. When getting ready to drive away, noticed chips in the chrome that we didn't see before they washed & detailed it. They gave us a 'voucher' to get it repaired for free.

When we tried to cash that in, the service dept told us that dealer didn't have 'body shop' and referred to area Auto Nation Shop to get it taken care of. Scheduled appointment and went to the area shop who said NOPE, they don't do those and sent back to dealer who kicked it around for a bit. Whoopsie the 'voucher' had a 30 day expiration date and so we just had to eat it.

Also out paperwork was wrong - HALF of it had the wrong VIN which caused more issues getting that straighten out.

Very disappointed. Am buying new car this week - will give AN a chance thanks to my first buying experience, but will walk if there is even the slightest hiccup.

After purchasing a 2013 Camaro

After purchasing a 2013 Camaro, two months ago, my wife noticed that the car bounced hard over bumps, I drove and told her it was rear struts that were worn. She informed them of the problem and they were less then polite and wanted to charge a diagnostic fee and $200 deductible. I would consider this typical dealer non sense. Took care of the problem and will never go back there.

Auto Nation Nissan Tempe

Auto Nation Nissan Tempe. Tried to sell my 2013 Dodge Minivan to their used car division after getting an online quote for $6,350. After waiting for over 2 hours and told they would pay the quoted price....I start signing the paperwork and SUPRISE, we are only giving you $5,350. I asked for an explanation -- Devan (the guy who quoted me originally) complained about 2 of the tires and a clip missing from the bumper under the front of the car??? I took a breather, when I came back, Johan (manager?) came in to tell me "tires are bad, missing a clip-- take the check or take your van". I left after wasting 3.5 hours in their office. Today I took the same van to a local buyer (Car Connection in Mesa) who offered $6,300 online. When I got there, he also said "2 tires are really new, 2 are older" he knocked off $300. I walked out of there with a $6,000 check in less than 1 hour AND they gave me a ride home!
Will NEVER go to AutoNation again. Waste of my time!

When I visited the dealership to…

When I visited the dealership to purchase my car I was asked to provide my personal details so that they could run an OFAC. The form I was given by the finance manager to provide my personal details was a credit application form which I was reluctant to complete as I was paying cash and did not need credit. I was told that I had no option and the only way I was allowed to give my personal details was via the credit application form. I was still unhappy doing this, so said that I would put a line through the rest of the form so it could not used by anyone else to apply for credit in my name, but was told that I was not allowed to do that, so I reluctantly completed the form.

The form was carbonated so I asked to be given one of the copies so that I had my own record and proof that parts of the form had been left empty, however when I got home and checked the document file I had been given, the carbon copy was not there.

I continued to feel very uncomfortable about the credit application form so I called the dealership a few days later to be told by the sales manager that I should not have had to fill out the form and that it would have been perfectly OK to give my details on a blank piece of paper. I explained that I was now extremely concerned that my personal details were on a blank credit application form and that to satisfy me that no one would subsequently fill out the rest of the form and apply for credit in my name, I wanted the complete form together with all carbon copies to be mailed to me. 3 weeks later I am still waiting!!!

I have since contacted the dealership on a number of occasions asking for the copy to be sent to me. Although I have received a very poor quality scan, I am still to receive the original form the I specifically asked for despite numerous emails and phone calls, most of which have not been responded to.

If the form still exists in it's original state without having any other information added by a third party, why the reluctance to send it to me?

FRAUD Autonation Appearance Protection Warranty

Purchased a 2015 Kia Sedona for cash in early 2022 for $19,953. Mileage was 37,570. We paid $619 additional for the Autonation Appearance Protection Package. We were forced to do this because Autonation Wesley Chapel could not fix the automatic side doors to close without a repair of thousands of dollars on the existing Kia Sedona. There was much confusion of whether a part or this issue was under warranty, so instead of having my wife try and drive 300 miles with both side doors open, with my son in the vehicle, we decided to take a very low trade offer and purchase a similar model. Within a few months, the paint looked awful and it started to pit and chip in the areas the sun beat on it. We contacted the dealership within a month of the problem like we were required to do. They sent us to another website to file a claim at Permaplate.com, which is for Sisken Enterprises. It took several weeks to be contacted and longer for a service technician to come and inspect the damage. He agreed it was egregious damage and told me he was recommending a full replacement paint job for the vehicle. He did preface that by saying that it still needed to be approved by Sisken Enterprises. Of course, they denied the claim, as I expected. Everyone I've contacted passes the buck and we're stuck with a vehicle that is embarrassing looking. Stay away from Autonation. They chose Sisken as their appearance protection warranty company, yet won't assist in having them enforce the contract, and continue to use them. They couldn't have been less helpful and the $619 was stolen money!

Superstition autonation does not want…

Superstition autonation does not want to help their customers especially if you are a female. First I took my truck in for an oil change they never put air in the tires and did not fill the wind shield fluid. Makes me wonder if they even changed the oil. Then I received a recall notice about my truck took the truck there and the service guy said it is a waste of time to check if my truck had this problem and I should ignore it. Then this week I called because my wheel locks are missing and I asked if they have a master key to remove them first they said yes however I take to someone else today to make the appointment and was told they don't have a master key and it takes a lot to get them off.
I told him I needed them off by Friday and he said he could not do it til Saturday afternoon. Of course they could not accommodate me. This is 3 strikes. They go out of their way to not help a customer. I would give them zero stars if possible. If you need service I highly recommend you go somewhere else.

I bought a vehicle on 12/23/22 and still have not received my title to pay for my car registration here in MO. This dealership is full of bs and refuse to help or escalate the process so i can pay for my registration. I would not recommend AutoNation to family, friends, or even strangers. Stay away from AutoNation at all cost. My wife bought a car 2 weeks after me directly from the Lexus dealership and received her title within a week and paid her car registration. I will not ever want to deal with AutoNation again even if they offered me a paid off vehicle.

Worst dealership ever!

I bought a car from them and before I made my 6th payment on it, it broke down. Took it to a repair shop....$10,500 in repairs on a car that's sales price was $13,100 but they then convinced me to buy the "warranty" that does not cover s@#t!!! It will pay for the turbo but that is it. Wrong brake pads put on the front, they put both of the inside pads on one side of the rear and the outside pads on the other side, drive belt cracked, water pump cracked, major oil leaks, warped tires due to brakes. The right thing for them to do is buy this piece of s@#! back from me for every penny I have spent so I can go to a reputable dealership and buy a descent car!! Do not buy from them or any auto nation!!
