Concept is great execution is…

Concept is great execution is horrendous. Did first install today. Insructions dont make sense there is no continuity. Just straight up missing steps. Video is the same missing steps and info. If this product was $200 i would not buy for personal house. I dont mind the slow speed at all. Figured that was designed to achieve a good gear ratio. Not at all the electric motor started growling with less than 100 lbs on it and then the thermal relay shuts everything off. If it was a great working product i could forgive the abysmal directions. But no it just compounds the horrible components. On the bright side the parts with no electronics or motorized parts and good. The screws were great, loved the washers, struts are struttin. Extruded aluminum muahh.
Plywood noice. Even those lil grommets love em. Fix the motors and fix the control board and you have a working product. Fix the instructions and we will keep our sanity. Then come out with version 3.0 with all the little things you missed in the first design that just make sense and lifts repeatable and consistent.

Don't let the ads fool you. Avoid these products.

Extremely difficult to level and calibrate to the point that it still has not been successfully set up.

The instructions are poorly written and make what should be a simple process unnecessarily complicated.

Even experienced professional construction workers who remodeled my entire home attempted to install and level this system and ultimately gave up because the setup is so unintuitive and cumbersome.

The controller design and electronics are outdated, lazy, and over-engineered. What should be a simple up/down adjustment requires navigating an unnecessarily complex control process.

Given the high price point, this has been a major disappointment, and I regret this purchase.

I am very disappointed

I am very disappointed. It took the installation a lot longer than it should have because the motor kept overheating. It goes up and down twice then stops because of overheating. I called and was told that this is typical. If I would have known that I would have NEVER bought it. I was planning on using it a lot for Christmas decorations but will take forever with it stopping all the time.

Thank you for your feedback, and we’re sorry for the frustration you experienced.

The lift motor is designed with a built-in thermal protection system to prevent damage during extended or continuous operation. During initial installation or repeated back-to-back cycles, the motor may temporarily pause to cool down. This is a normal safety feature and does not affect performance during regular use.

For typical use cases—such as seasonal storage (including Christmas decorations)—the lift operates reliably and efficiently when cycled at a normal pace. We understand this expectation could have been communicated more clearly, and we appreciate you bringing it to our attention.

The quality of the lift is very good.

My wife and I are in our upper 60's so carrying tote up into the attic get tougher every year so we purchased the Auxx Attic Lift. The quality of the lift is very good. It came with 2 five foot long pieces of Unistrut to mount the motors to. Hooking up the Controller was easy too but using it was complicated (at least for me). Scott form customer service was great and got me through it. He was very thorough and very patient with me. I still need to fine tune it but it is very useable now.

Horrible customer service. They don’t answer the phones. They don’t answer emails. Can’t imagine how they even stay in business.

PRE-BUY Auxx-Lifts MUST KNOWS!!!

Purchased TWO Auxx-Lifts (4x8/600/Stainless Stee), Auxx Covers, and Auxx Guards, totalling close to $6000. I have a few things that I have to disclose for any one considering purchasing this lift system:
1) Be sure that there is an installer in your city BEFORE your purchase. Even though they advertise providing installers, this is not guaranteed. In my case, there were no intallers in Las Vegas and when confronting the AUXX lift rep over the phone, he adivsed that they were "working on getting an installer in your area" and gave me option to ship the units back; however, I had to pick up the return delivery costs = hundreds of dollars.
2) AUXX-Cover and AUXX Guard: Arrives w/ no installation instructions and covers have inconsitent colored panels. Some are white and others off-white, not matching at all.
3) Auxx-Lift Control Panels: Both of my AUXX Lifts were ordered at around the same time, they were both the same system "on paper"; however, they arrived w/ two completely different control panels and remotes.

At the end of the day, spending close to $6000 on these systems should have been met with greater attention to true advertising detail, consistency, and delivery of product. Special shout ot to Scott, their support guy, for doing the best he could to help me out, considering the limitations provided to him.

Reply from Auxx Lift

Thank you for taking the time to share such detailed feedback, and for investing in two Auxx-Lifts along with the covers and guards. We truly appreciate your business, and we’re sorry to hear that parts of your experience didn’t meet expectations. I’d like to address each of your concerns directly:

1) Installer availability
We understand how frustrating it was to learn that no certified installer was available in Las Vegas at the time of your purchase. While we do list installers and are continually expanding our network, availability can vary by region. We should have communicated this more clearly before your order, and we apologize for the inconvenience. Although we offered a return option, we understand that the cost of return shipping was a significant burden, and we’ll review our policies to prevent situations like this in the future.

2) Auxx Cover & Auxx Guard issues
Thank you for bringing the installation-instruction gap and panel color inconsistency to our attention. This is absolutely something we should have caught before shipping. We are already working on improving both our documentation and QC so accessories arrive consistent, complete, and ready to install. If you have photos of the mismatched panels, we’d be happy to send replacements.

3) Different control panels / remotes
Because we continually update components, some units ship with newer hardware. However, both systems should still be consistent with one another when ordered together. We apologize for the confusion this caused — you deserved a clearer explanation and matching components. We can arrange to send matching remotes/control panel housings if that would help create a unified setup.

We are grateful for your patience throughout this process, and we agree that a purchase of this size should come with a seamless, well-communicated experience. We’re taking your feedback seriously and are already using it to tighten our processes.

And thank you as well for your kind words about Scott — we’re glad he was able to support you, and we’ll make sure your appreciation is passed along.

If you’re open to it, we’d like to work with you directly to resolve the remaining issues. Please reach out anytime at 805-798-0008 or reply to this email — we’re here all day and committed to making things right.

Sincerely,
The Auxx Team

Over engineered product, deceptive / misleading sales staff.

I would steer clear of this product, there are more cost effective products on the market, and when installed they have a variety of issues that require constant upkeep. The sales person Anna, seems intent on blaming these issues on the installers despite there being a proven track record of issues with previous customers (see the other reviews).

While our Auxx Lift has worked for many…

While our Auxx Lift has worked for many years, we lost the remote. We bought one and had it sent overnight, but it was the wrong remote and they said they would send us the correct one. Unfortunately, it has taken nearly two weeks to finally get the correct remote. Instead of telling us it was on backorder, they pretty much ducked our calls and seemingly stalled on giving us a tracking number. Yes, it's settled, but they need to fix how they deal with customer service. (And while it seems to a new install a small issue, second attic entrances and second remotes were not a 'thing' a decade ago, and having your attic door on the floor in your hallway is a pain directly.)

DON'T BUY, BIG MISTAKE

Great idea if it worked. Unfortunately the AuxxLift AtticLift will only run for 3 minutes, then motor overheats and shuts off for 15 min. (they have hidden specs that acknowledge limitation). Absolutely requires professional installation. A first time installer will never get the auto-off adjusted properly without previous experience. It took my experienced professional installer 4 hours to make the adjustments, because the motor kept overheating and stopping. I'm gonna lose a lot of $$$ on this mistake by having to remove Auxx-Lift and install a different attic lift that can handle a normal workload. Very disappointed buyer

The ordering was efficient and delivery…

The ordering was efficient and delivery was also quick and on time. Sadly, the installation didn't go easily for the person we had install it and wasn't as we expected. After finally getting it working properly, we find that there are limited 'lifts' before the engine overheats and has to cool down.

Excellent product

Excellent product! Does exactly what I needed and as advertised. Reason for 4 stars is the written instructions: they could be much clearer and use of pictures rather than drawings to show what is actually on the unit would be much cleaner. Also, white lettering in light grey box is difficult to read.

Great product! David and Alex were awesome and installed my 3 lifts perfectly. I'm very happy with the end result and will definitely recommend these lifts.

Great Customer Service

I initially had some questions about the install of the Auxx Attic lift for my particular project. Lutz Klooth, from Auxx, returned my call and answered all my questions - as well as giving me a plant tour and Auxx Attic lift demo. I ordered the lift the same day, and it arrived in 2-days. Outstanding customer service.
