Written by the company

Avalanche Motorsports was founded in 2005 by Todd and Austin, two brothers driven by their passion for powersports and anything motorized that goes fast. They started at their location in Bath, North Carolina, offering ATVs, side-by-sides, and powersports. Over the years, their customer base grew, and so did their ambition. Boats were added to the inventory, and Avalanche Motorsports soon grew into a full boat and powersports dealership. As the business continued to grow, the space in Bath became too small, so Todd and Austin decided to expand and move into our current location in 2018. Today, Avalanche Motorsports offers boats, powersports, RVs, golf carts, and parts and accessories. Our team also operates a full-scale service department, handling everything from simple oil changes to full rebuilds. We are proud to say we can handle it all, backed by a catalog of over 300,000 parts and accessories supporting all major powersports and marine brands. From the beginning, the goal has been simple: treat people right, keep it honest, and don’t pressure anyone into a sale. That mindset still drives everything today. Our sales team does not work on commission, so the focus stays on helping customers find what actually fits their needs, not just making a deal. It has built a reputation that keeps people coming back and staying in touch long after the sale. Many of our customers have been with us for years, and that comes down to trust, consistency, and taking care of people the same way every time. As of 2026, Avalanche Motorsports is under new ownership by Brian Zimmerman, an entrepreneur based in Boston, Massachusetts. From the start, it was clear he shared the same core values and vision for the dealership, while also bringing experience from building businesses across multiple industries. His focus is on supporting the team, improving how things run behind the scenes, and making sure the business continues to grow without losing what makes it different. Avalanche Motorsports is more than just a business to all of us; it is a family we are incredibly proud of. We welcome you to come experience the difference and become part of our story.
