I just have liability insurance for my Lancair IV. It is very affordable and Avemco is good to work with to provide waivers for the Sport Air Racing Leage and the EAA AIRVENTURE Race

Very easy process.
I sent an online request for a quote and got a prompt response by telephone and answers a few questions on the phone. I got a quote the next day by email.
I printed and completed the application and mailed payment information to Avemco. Very Easy. I had follow up questions and Avemco responded promptly.
