Great Service When Best Buy let me down
I had ordered a TEAC Cassette Deck/CD Player AD 850 SE from Best Buy, which was to be shipped from Avgearshop. For some reason Best Buy cancelled the order. Avgearshop contacted me directly and asked if I was still interested. I was and I really appreciated Avgearshop being in touch. I subsequently ordered directly through them and received my player in less time than was suggested. I was extremely pleased with the service and would order from Avgearshop in the future.
Local CDN retailer, hassle free, competitive prices
Prices are always competitive and I have used both shipping and pickup and both are trouble free. I also like that I am able to support a non-big-box local retailer.

Exceptional customer service despite payment confusion
I want to leave a very positive review for AVGear.shop, despite my purchase not ultimately completing — and that says a lot in itself.
I ordered a Magewell Ultra Encode HDMI Plus (53150) and received confirmation that payment had gone through and that the item was being prepared for dispatch. Shortly afterwards, my bank (Revolut) sent me a worrying notification suggesting the payment had been declined due to a 3-D Secure issue. On the strength of that message, I cancelled the order and placed it elsewhere.
To make matters more confusing, Revolut later confirmed that the payment had in fact completed successfully. This understandably caused confusion on both sides — but I want to be absolutely clear that AVGear.shop handled the situation impeccably.
They were polite, professional, communicative, and processed the cancellation and refund immediately, without hesitation or dispute. There was no pushback, no blame, and no pressure — just excellent customer service throughout.
Although they ultimately lost the sale due to circumstances outside their control, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend AVGear.shop to others. If this experience is anything to go by, they are a trustworthy and customer-focused retailer, and I would happily deal with them again in the future.

My order was processed in a reasonable timeframe and I received shipment within 4 business days of the order being processed. Everything arrived that I ordered and in great condition. We are very disappointed with the support and after-sales service from AVgearshop.com. No response after 2 weeks and 3 emails to obtain an authorization number for return merchandise. It is clear to us that they are not respecting their return policy.
