Extremely poor experience. I contacted Avon Estates to arrange a viewing and was told they were “too busy” to fit me in — on a Saturday, their busiest day, when viewings should be a priority, they said they only had 2 people working on a Saturday. Despite explaining that I’m travelling two hours and can only view at weekends, they didn’t ask a single question: no offer to book me in for the following Saturday, no name, no buying position, no contact details, nothing.

I am a proceedable, chain‑free cash buyer, and they made no effort whatsoever to establish that before dismissing me. A competent agent would at least check whether a buyer is in a strong position before turning them away. Instead, they shut the conversation down without even checking with the vendor.

If this is how they handle enquiries, I’d be very concerned as a seller — serious, ready‑to‑proceed buyers are being turned away without any attempt to engage. I’ve crossed the property off my list purely due to the agent’s attitude. Other agents appear to dominate the local market, and based on this interaction, it is clear why.. A disappointing and unprofessional experience.

We like to explore the possibility of holiday home living and spent half a day touring the Stratford park. Really impressed with the environment and therefore requested two dates when we could, as they advertised, to spend a night in one of their property for free. Being replied that the free trial was not available, but we could spend one or two nights for £99, the fee was for cleaning and not for rental. The generally good impression collapsed and our plan probably shelfed.

I would like to give a special thank you to Nic Allen and Mark Galpin together with John (sales manager) of Avon Estates. I recently purchased a caravan whilst unwell and regretted my decision. Avon Estates were very compassionate and very obliging under these very difficult circumstances. I would highly recommend anyone who was thinking of purchasing a caravan to use Avon Estates in the future. This is a very professional company to deal with, they are totally transparent and cover every single aspect with the customer with regard to purchasing a caravan

I wanted to mention Nikki who showed us around was great. She really knew her stuff, which was refreshing since we’ve been looking at a few places lately and a lot of agents haven't been as helpful.

We would just like to say a huge thank you to all at Avon Estates who recently helped to sell our home. From our initial valuation through to our final completion, we were guided through the process by their knowledgeable and friendly team. The stressful process of moving home was made much easier with great communication and efficient responses to any queries raised. Would happily recommend Avon Estates 😊

A bit of a late review, but I can’t recommend Avon Estates enough!

They sold our house far more quickly than we expected and for more than we were asking!

Everyone there is friendly, efficient, respectful and they get the job done without being pushy.

If you’re looking to sell - I would definitely recommend contacting the team at Avon Estates.

Had complete confidence in Avon Estates from the start. Sensitive at all times to the needs of the seller, aimed at as quick a sale as possible. A buyer was achieved within the first week, and no stone left unturned to achieve completion in the quickest time. Would have no hesitation in recommending them to any prospective sellers.

Avon Estates came to value the house in a very timely manner. They offered advice on what we should do to get 'sale' ready. We were kept up to date with any viewings that were taking place and we received feedback from the viewers. Whilst the sale was going through, communication was good so we always knew where in the process we were. The whole experience was made easy for us. Thank you.

I used Avon Estates to sell my house, where the whole process from engagement to completion took about 18 months. My sale was managed by the whole Avon Estates team but specifically Jo Potts. Where do I begin? Although 18 months is a long time I understand its not that uncommon given the wider economic conditions, however, throughout the whole process Jo managed all parties, including myself, with an unbelievable level of courtesy, respect, professionalism and patience. My chain was small but very complicated, so given the length of time I became very familiar with my buyer and her solicitor & estate agent not to mention the solicitors further down the chain. Without question it's fair to say that Jo held the chain together, intervened when necessary and helped me to keep calm when things got tricky over the last few weeks prior to completion. Jo was incredibly patient with me, and I daresay others across the chain. I will forever be thankful to the Avon Estates team for managing my sale and I can say without reservation that not only will I always sell my house through Avon Estates but whenever looking at properties to buy if the agent is Avon Estates I will be instantly reassured.

Lovely campsite not been here for a few years but nothings changed it’s fab and Jane who used to work and serve the 99p breakfast is still here so nice and helpful lovely lady will be coming back next year

Having recently sold via Avon Estates I'd happily recommend them to others. All of the staff are personable and friendly. Avon managed all the viewings and gave customer feedback after each one. This feedback gave us the opportunity to make a change to the presentation of the house which secured the sale. After the sale they were vigilant in ensuring that the sale completed.

As a joint executor of the deceased’s estate living nearly 100 miles away, I was lucky to be able to place my unstinting trust in Avon Estates for the sale of the property.
